Lol.

Williams would absolutely translate his skills to the premier league (as he did international football) because he's fucking athletic. He could fit in to any league in the world and be very good in fact, or at any level. But yeah .. goals and assists, which by the way if we were judging players on just this, there are legions of shite we could sign ahead of an actual good footballer than Savio because g+a only is always very misleading.

Not that long ago Williams won a Euros tearing it up as a key player for Spain. But .. goals and assists against Las Palmas & co!
Sissoko was athletic and translated his skills to International football, so its not the flex you think it is.

Williams probably would adapt to the PL fairly well, but Savinho already has.

I was under the impression that Pep and City were willing to sell ANYBODY who wasn’t 100% into his/their vision.
As more trickles out here, it's beginning to seem like the story is that Pep started Oscar Bobb over Savinho against Palermo last week and Savinho decided he didn't have the ironclad role in the team he wanted and asked to leave.

Agent calls up Spurs, Spurs are keen, but City had a high value on Savinho and this situation has come as an unwanted surprise from their end.

(Incidentally, this did my head in, Oscar Bobb is nine months older than Savinho)

Can you list those eight players and tell us who our equivalents are that can do the same ?:frankthink:
Our aim isn't to win the treble so we won't be that efficient.

But Solanke, Richarlison, Kulusevski, Johnson, Maddison and Tel have all had 10+ goal seasons. Add Eze and Savinho to that list if they join.

Porro isn't shy of a goal either. Combine that with Frank's set piece mastery and we'll get some contributions from our CB's too. As we saw last night.

I mean sort of, he was thoroughly mixed last season as any normal City fan would tell you, hence why they're willing to flog the fucking bloke.

Some nice stuff, a lot of not so good stuff, plenty of potential. Williams would slot in to any side here and be brilliant because he's fucking strong, fucking fast and direct, and this league loves that. Antony can put up good numbers in La Liga because the physicality is about half as intense there.

See Forest have signed McAtee and also moving for Omari Hutchinson.

Could this mean we go back in for MGW?

Good whack of money Forest have spent for backups if he stays there.

Savinho suits La Liga down to the ground. Its a less physical league where more creative, technical wingers can thrive. Williams is a killer at international level and would be a killer at premier league level because he's powerful, fast and direct. I doubt for example that Savio could ever do what Williams did to lots of top international sides, for example.

Savinho is really good. If we had the chance to sign Williams instead of him though I'd do it in an instant. The guy would be awesome in England.

Not disagreeing with you on Williams, he’s quality. But I’m also not on board with writing off Savinho as a bad buy. I’d happily take either.

The reality is we’re working with a limited pool of players who tick every box and are realistic to sign. Every transfer we make will carry some risk.

For me, bringing in Savinho is miles better than a lot of the signings we’ve made in recent years. If we end up with Kudus, Eze, and Savinho, that’s us moving in the right direction. It’s been years since we’ve had players like Bale, Dele, Van der Vaart, Lennon or Ginola. The kind that get fans out of their seats. Now we could have three of them in the same team instead of just one.

Bring the chaos I say.
