About 500 senior players are registered to play in the prem.
To reach that level, you simply cannot be average.
You can look worse than others around you due to any number of factors.... wrong position, wrong team, wrong coach, etc.
But average? It's just a lazy narrative by folks who do not understand the game beyond caring about whether their teams win or lose.

There’s loads of average players who are premier league athletes,
Olmo would instantly be one of the best footballers in the premier league but an average athlete who would have worse fitness problems than Richy IMO.
