Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Eze won't sign a new contract so they'd probably have to sell him in January for around 40m! They won't want another Guehi situation where Eze goes for nothing.

I think its a risk for everyone playing him today.
Disagree. Think he would sign a new contract.

Maybe with a lower release clause, but wouldn’t leave them high and dry. Just listen to how much he appreciates what they’ve done for him.

All these articles do is prove that these so called insider journalists haven't got a fucking clue what they're talking about.

The Telegraph had him as 25 years old as well.

We are at the point of absolute charlatans posing as journalists who feel the need to spout bullshit every couple of hours so that they feel relevant.

In the last 12 hours we've had -

It's a done deal
He won't be playing today
Actually it's more difficult than expected
It's more difficult than expected but will still get done.
A deal is close
Actually it's not that close
He's actually set to play today

I mean it's nothing but utter bullshit - the deal probably wasn't even worked on last night and no one spoke to anyone else the whole 12 hours, yet we get these ridiculously ambiguous updates that could mean basically anything.

Journalists of this ilk are just a bunch of chancer fuckwits begging for attention.

Its an interesting dilema though. If we have any hopes of making top 4 then Chelsea are our main rivals and our best chance of getting in it! Let Eze cook them today and then sign him on Monday is the ideal scenario!

Just taking a big risk that Eze could get injured. I still fear we are leaving the door open to Woolwich too the longer we delay this.

Only risk is for us. They’d get to keep him and would be quite happy if that was the result . . .
No it's a big risk for Palace too, if he gets an injury long term enough to scupper a move then, along with Guehi running down his deal, that's their two crown jewels worth a relative pittance in terms of financial value.

For a club that's reliant on generating funds and reinvesting wisely to stay competitive that could be ruinous.

Would almost certainly mean they'd have to sell Wharton in the next 12 months as a result.

If he signs a new contract then he'll never get his big move. That'll bring him into his 30s. He's 27 now. He really needs to move soon. He's one bad injury away from being past his peak.

I don't buy into any of it. We've ultimately had no proper update in 5 days now.

It was on Tuesday that we learnt that Eze was keen to come and Spurs were preparing a bid.

This is what I was saying the other day. As soon as leaks come out about them looking for replacements it’s good news. It’s Sunday, let’s enjoy palace beating the chavs, Man U smashing the scum and see what happens tonight and tomorrow. I’m sure there’s lots going on including a lot of guessing and wanting to be first to report on something. Remember there are no consequences for being wrong reporting on transfers.

I mean IF the end result is that he signs for us then it's a win win.

Gets match fitness and sharpness
May help Palace take points off our rivals

The only downside is that he gets injured, but that's a risk whenever he plays or trains

We’ve been looking at eze since last summer , his agents have a box at spurs , he had a release clause , this should be a relatively easy deal to complete but here we are 2 weeks till window shuts , going into 2nd game of the season and the longer it goes on the harder the deal will be to do . Palace don’t have to sell .

Well it’s not like buying a pint of milk

It is if you go and offer the shopkeeper 5p a week for 20 years, see how quick you get out of the shop with the milk trying the Daniel approach.
I'd take that - £52 for a pint of milk sounds like a good deal to me. Direct debit of 20p per month that's the milk paid for in 6 months, everything after that pure profit for the next 19 and a half years. Luvly jubbly.
