Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Everyone needs to read this then step away from the internet for the day. Go out and enjoy the sun and the games today. Honestly, it’s pointless worrying about it either way. MGW has warned us all, but honestly that sounds like a one off. I’ll be more pissed off if this doesn’t happen as I’ve wanted Eze for ages and think he is better than MGW.

I thought those unlikely reports from yesterday about him not playing were wide of the mark then and so it transpired. Obviously that has panicked a few but I’m sure they’ll sit around the table tomorrow morning and thrash this out. It feels like all parties want it to happen, which is usually the hard part. Somehow both levy and Parish need to feel like they’ve won and of course that’s entirely possible

Whatever way you want to dress it up Eze starting today is not a good sign especially if it was previously agreed that he wouldn't play. Something has changed and probably signals that the deal has slowed down. Although it sounds like we are still in the same position as last Tuesday with zero progress made. Basically Eze wants to come, spurs are preparing a bid and Palace want more money. Nothing has changed since Tuesday and seems like Woolwich are happy to sit this one out so far.
If the deal was days away then there's no way he would start today - absolutely no way.

So thinking that he'll have a medical tomorrow is farcical.

It may get done but it's not imminent.

Those painting Eze starting today as being a positive are being extremely optimistic at best.

I totally agree with you this all boils down to Levy, the deal should have been done and dusted no wonder fans despise him.
Well he's obviously not pushing hard enough...
I thought all the BEST players a t like cunts and go on STRIKE these days to force a move ...?

Shoulda taken a leaf out of Isak & Goykeres' book....

Nice, soft prick!

If they are posturing despite needing this move desperately themselves, just get Paqueta for half the price. It would arguably be a better value signing, despite Eze being the better player in a vacuum.

And while at it use the leftover money to get Savinho deal over the line while possibly bringing in a LCB/LB hybrid as well. We'd be better off overall.
I’d rather get El Khannouss than Paqueta

Note that Glasner said not to believe everything you read in the newspapers, and not don’t believe everything you read from nobbers posting on Twitter from their mums basements.

Deal. On.

c'mon the whiplash of he's not playing to he's starting is shitty no matter how zen you claim to be.

bottom line is players have to fight for their moves in situations like this and eze and mgw wouldn't do it and they didn't get their moves. i do think players are very reluctant to go against their home clubs when they're playing in their home nations. no one wants to end up a judas and that's hard to overcome as a buying club trying to get them.

Eze playing today doesn’t mean a deal is off, Guehi is also playing and their chairman has literally said they want to sell him this summer. So everything is still possible.

But never underestimate Levy’s ability to fuck things up. Other chairmen despise him and the way he behaves so there’s always the chance they just get sick of him and end discussions. He always has to “win” the deal, no other chairman in the world would wait for a £60m release clause to expire then offer £55m + £5m in add ons for a player that our free-spending rivals are also looking at. He can never just pay the money.
