Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

True , more like selling Kane and not replacing him for an entire season

Don’t tell me Richarlison was meant to be his replacement and we were ahead of the curve by a season . I genuinely don’t think anyone will buy that

I didnt - but every transfer is different mate - some are like this - others are different - Your shtick, no matter what is - cos Levy.

Usual defenders will be out in force soon, but the truth is we're a joke and there is never any urgency with us.

It's embarrassing, it truly is.
call me a usual defender..... but do you think Parish might be dragging things out? Mbuemo to United took about 8 weeks, what about Gyokeres to Arse? Xavi Simmons and Garnacho to Chelsea has been quick hasn't it? Isak to Liverpool of course, Newcastle trying to get a striker in etc

there's a lot of detail and conditioning in all these deals, we've seen how long they take, not just for us but for everyone. Maybe if both parties are willing some deals can be done more quickly but surely people can look across the league and see actually it's not just us than can take time to get deals over the line.

Wonder if levy now realises what he's like to deal with now that Parish is pulling the same tricks and how this severely impacts our ability to sell unwanted players
Why would you chose to enter into negotiations with Levy unless you desperately wanted the player.
If it's a player we are happy to let go then they obviously aren't great so a buying club could buy a player of similar quality from multiple clubs so why put yourself through the ball ache of dealing with Levy.
I know he won't change but be nice to think this is a teachable moment for him

Surely if some club comes in for one of your best players no owner is going to be "easy" to deal with, you're not going to just roll over are you? you'll make it as hard as you can for the buyer, especially if they player is really keen on the move. you'll want your money's worth at the very least

💯 Mate but levy is now getting a dose of what it's like when someone changes things that have already been agreed etc. He is renowned for it. Now he sees how frustrating this from the buyers side.
Now imagine a scenario where you need a CM and you have Bissouma and another name as the two options and both roughly the same quality. For Biss you have to deal with Levy and for the other one you don't. Now which one would most people pick?!
This is one of the reasons we are terrible at selling our non elite players, who the fuck wants to voluntarily deal with Levy unless you are absolutely desperate for the player which most clubs won't be if they are buying our cast offs

How do you know this is the case?

So by the weekend?

So 3 weeks since maddison went down with a ACL.

Crazy form of "urgency" from the club .

I think tbf with this one. Palace have obviously been waiting until the got a replacement in to sanction the sale. They already have rejected interest from the scum also by all accounts.

I have no doubt that the Eze transfer has only happened because of what happened to Madders we wouldn't have gone for him otherwise
