I’m used to us getting pants once a window, but we’ve truly outdone ourselves this time, we’ve managed to be the laughing stock of the league on two different occasions, only weeks apart.

We knew Son was most likely leaving this window, and didn’t do our due diligence to line up a player to replace his quality, and in classic spurs fashion we started our consideration approach after the guy left. We’ve seen Maddison get a season ending injury and managed to just dither about like nothing happened.

I know fuck all about Rodgers, but if he’s truly the board dream target then now is the time to put your balls on the table and get him at all costs. Have some pride Levy and show them that you mean business and don’t just default to young player punts again.
 
If we are going back in for Savinho a deadline needs setting.

After Levy was so vocal about the 115 charges and the Kane non-transfer I’m sure Citeh would like nothing more than to dick us about for the remainder of the window before pulling the plug.
 
Why don't we just up our bid for Eze, to try & force Woolies to pay over the odds?

Because Eze doesn’t want to play here. So us bidding again to any value just a.) makes us look even dumber than we do already, and b.) just wastes more of our time when we should be looking for players who are actually interested in being here.

We’ll probably end up doing the medical for them and sending our draft of the contract with Tottenham Hotspur scribbled out and Woolwich on it instead.

This window has to be Rogers and Savinho or sell up now. Genuinely. Don’t care if they cost £80m a piece. You wait until this time in the window, you pay the silly prices.

If EZE wanted them from the start then it would have had a massive impact on things.
Can’t force a player to go where he didn’t want to go. What we may have done in this time is driven up the final price Woolwich have paid. I just hope we have other irons in the fire
