Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

That’s not true.

It’s Levy’s fault. He took too long and if the Havertz injury hadn’t happened I don’t think they would have come back in for him. I don’t think it was planned by the Goons et al.
No, we was all told we couldn't get him until after the game tonight, which is now bollox - so i assume Levy was trying to save a few bob by letting palace keep him till they had a replacement.......

Keep reading that the other chairmen hate Levy. I’m sure that’s true but 100% they hate Spurs. They despise us.

100% it feels like other teams dislike us as a club.

Levy - who knows, but this summer has so far given such a belief some credence.

I think.what I would like to know, with a sense of it being completely accurate is who scouts our players, and specifically who then discusses terms etc?

We need a reaction and a swift one or those feels worse, especially if we capitulate on Saturday, where our attempts then feel ever more desperate.

He was resigned to scum potentially not coming in and was "excited" to be joining spurs as an alternative and would have come.

That article by *whatever his name is* is attempting to dramatically frame this all for a juicier story.

The simple truth lies within it tho.
If Eze were a player with no connection to either club, regardless of whether he'd admired Scum since he was a boy...

Can he be blamed by our fans for preferring to join a club that's been 2nd each of the last 3 years, while we've just finished 17th and have a questionable commitment to challenging for the highest honors? Hating them as we might, can we blame a kid from SE10 for it who started there in his youth? Isn't this no less than what you'd expect?

The story may be gussied up for drama, no doubt it is, but the simple fact is that Levy hasn't built a club that will present more than a backup option versus a club that does serious business decisively, and which is in a much better state in the league than ours.

Facts are facts... this is from his perspective the only reasonable thing to do. Sure, I'll move upward to Spurs and love the opportunity if it arises but Scum is where I'd like more.

It's on Levy that players see us this way

Such a pity we couldn't get Seymenyo...him left, Kudus right....would of been class.
I do wonder if that's still a possibility. I know he's just signed a new contract, so a move would be very unusual, but not impossible if (and there's the big if obviously) we paid enough. If a relatively unproved Savinho is going to cost say £70m, and Rogers say £80m+, how much should we be prepared to pay for Semenyo? And how much would Bournemouth need to say yes? In an ideal world (dream world more like...), which of those three would we prefer?

Who knows mate. We were told by who? The papers. That was delaying tactics by Eze, Palace and his agent is how I feel..

It's done - painful but not the end of the world.

Fcuk Eze and even more so fcuk Woolwich.

Nah mate. He's a wrogun. Nothing can justify his decsion.

We need both, it's not a matter either. And we need a LW more urgently. We'll not be playing with one against Citu, it'll be the same system as Paris.
I don't think this is true at all. We have LWs in the squad. They're not the Son replacement we want, but they're capable/promising.

We do not have a #10. The #10 is a critical need, the LW is a strong desire. If we only had squad space for 1 more player, it'd have to be a #10.

FWIW, I said last week Eze's decision likely hinged on whether he wanted to play LW (goons) or ACM (us). And I still stand by that.

Any of those three I'd take in a heart beat.

I'd probably pick Seymenyo to be honest even though we need a ten.

It would take 80 million for Seymenyo, maybe more.
It's not happening.
