Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

when Levy has shit the bed in the past often it goes quiet then we have a flurry of activity on transfer deadline day that mostly doesn’t work.

We now have lots of targets in the media. I am guessing Levy is playing his Paratici get out of jail free card. When Paratici was DoF we had constant links with players and then the doable deal executed. Paratici has apparently been a consultant but is now free to be DoF again this feels like Levy has asked him to step up and save him.

I'd love to see Havertz come back and nail Eze to the bench. Gooner scum.

:avbfu:
They can only play 11 and their midfield and attack are already overcrowded.
Rice, Zubimendi, Odegaard, Saka and the new guy up front have to play, so everyone else is fighting for one place ... Even if they shift Trossard it means there is 1 spot for Eze, Havertz, Martinelli, Merino, Madueke, Norgaard, Nwaneri. There are going to be some toys thrown out of the pram at some stage.

Maybe that's why you would choose Tottenham over Real Madrid

Think About It GIF by Identity
I'd prefer playing for Spurs in two major competitions giving my self a chance to play the world cup over getting splinters in my ass from the bench at Real, and miss the world cup.

Over the 90 we were the better side and deserved to win so it’s not a capitulation!

They got lucky and any penalty shootout is a farce imv
I usually agree with you on most things Bazali Bazali but I think blowing a two goal lead with five minutes to go is the definition of ‘capitulating’; I do agree that we were the better side on the night but we should have had the smarts to see the game out, imho. Anyways, tomato / tomato - it is what it is!

We never had a bid accepted for Eze or were close to having one imo. All this bollocks about Palace saying they will accept the bid after the Thursday palace game is just that..bollocks.

We bid, they rejected and that's that. Glasner said "don't believe everything you read in the media" because they were talking absolute nonsense about an agreement.

Us conducting a hundred "round of talks" shows you all you need to know about our circus football club. They can fucking tell you the price and way it should be paid in a fucking 5 minute convo..but we conduct these round of talks to try and get the price down. Gooner Scum slapped 67m down and told us to shut the fuck up.

Glasner also said that Eze and Guehi starts tonight, so lets see if he is to be believed

Yep, 100%

Even more so now. Look at the wording, Eze now not playing after he's spoken to Glasner. SO when it was Spurs, he obviously sad to Glasner he wanted to play one more game (obviously hoping to delay the move), now it's Woolwich, he's saying he can't play. Wanker

Or maybe levy said we will give you X amount but we will wait until you get your replacement in…… where as the gooners wanted him so just put the cash on the table

Going out for dinner now , I cannot wait to get back and find out who we are pretending to sign next . Make it a superstar Daniel , fly that plane straight into the mountain don’t even attempt a crash landing you little bellend . If you are determined to go down in Spurs history as worse than Sugar now is your moment .

Weird how them things seem to only happen to us, at least where big clubs are concerned...provided we still deserve that tag.

Big anti-Spurs conspiracy literally exists in its own sphere and has eff all reality to it.

Whereas Levy being a tight cunt and fucking useless at transfers is an age-old fact.
Never said it was a conspiracy. Doesn't need to be.

I've leveraged other offers several times throughout my career to improve my compensation, benefits, or position. Each time I would have taken the other offer if I needed to, and felt content with it, but my end goal was to extract the improvements I wanted. This isn't some secret tactic, its well worn negotiating from an advantage.

If there's anything that puts Levy's position in jeopardy, its this - being seen as weak in negotiations, that others can take advantage of him.

lets be honest, he was second fiddle to both clubs, MGW was our primary target and the scum put the money into madueke first.

anyway fuck the cunt, i dont think hes as good as people make out anyway. far better players than eze in the world, his natural instinct is to hang onto the ball, hell have a short shelf life.

So all these rumours today. Are we leaking the information to divert from Eze embarrassment or is Ange's mole at it again? Whilst we all want to know what is happening maybe if it was kept secret it might work better.

It remains very difficult to parse what actually happened in the MGW scenario, other than to say that Forest valued him at a price very far above our bid.

But I take from the reporting that we've seen on Eze that sufficient aggression from our side very well might have gotten it done.
It depends on how far you want to take you hypothetical. Again - legitimate reports state definitively that both Eze and Palace intentionally stalled negotiations in order to buy time for woolwich to finalize the deal.

On top of that - the text at the event, which was documented before Spurs->Eze really heated up so its not some revisionist creation.

So you could say if we offered £80M + £200kpw we could have closed the deal - sure, but it wouldn't have made sense in context to do so.

Spurs, again legitimate reports, thought we had a deal agreed in principal and were ironing out the details. There's no indication they were led to believe it was a competitive bid at that point - if you're bidding £50M+£8M in add ons and they say "£53M+£5M" why would you say "fuck it, here's £70M"? It's simply not logical.

Anyway, none of us will ever know. But I take someone who's paid to report on football more seriously than random twitter handles.
