Sure but this summer in the context of the billion they’ve now spent on Arteta since he started during a period when we were ahead of them, just adds fuel to the fire.
Levy and ENIC can’t or won’t try to compete with them financially and it’s got nothing to do with revenue or pnl.
But when they go for someone, they generally get it done. They don’t get rejected at the very last stage of the deal after weeks of publicly chasing the player.

He’s been there 6 years. It’s not that much that they’ve spent. Woolwich have spent €1.24 bn since the start of the 19/20 season and we have spend €1.14. That’s less than £100m difference spread over 6 years. And if we make another big splash this summer then the different is negligible.

But Woolwich have bought shit like Nicolas Pepe and Fabio Vieira. Havertz and Gabriel Jesus is over 100m in talent that has not really shown it on the pitch.

Sarr would probably outscore bek too and offer excellent energy.
Simply put id rather sign NO 10 than one thats not good enough. Keep a very strong and robust midfield 3 and cough up for savinho for creativity from the wide areas. Kudus could move central too with johnson right.
Our squad just gets filled up with players that are of similar quality. We need quality now not numbers

leaving everything to the last minute thinking he’ll get a cheaper deal and then another club comes in and shop lifts right in front of his nose. The same old story all the time and no one is allowed to earn more than the Donkey

Paz was selected in best Serie A XI for 24/25… and he did that in his first season outside of his home country.

The real comparison is the wage structure. Guys like Reiss Nelson are earning double what VDV is on with us. Jesus earns 3 times what Richarlison makes here. Havertz is on nearly 300k a week and he's their squad player. Our squad players like Bergval and Odobert are on roughly 20k a week.
We are not investing anywhere close to Woolwich into our team. If you want top players you need to pay the top wages. I think we have 4 players earning over 100k a week. I'd imagine Woolwich have around 20 players on more!
They'll leave us short at FB for sure, they'll think we got plenty with Porro, Djed, Udo, Ben, Archie. Wouldn't be surprised to see them use Drag at RB if push comes to shove. 6 options, what youse moaning about?!

Sarr got 6 goals and 3 assists in about 3000 minutes last season.
BEK got 3 goals and 6 assists in about 2500 minutes last season.
We were shit but wow so were Leicester. I think the output is similar for both but BEK is more of a passer. Watch him play. He is so smooth.

Eriksen would have cost 60/70m from Ajax if you bought him today..... Possibly even more.
I heard someone else say he was in the Serie A team of 24/25 but I couldn’t actually find it anywhere. Not an official one anyway.
