Would be a smart move at this point- we obviously failed to identify a long-term target willing to come to us before the window started. Punt on the issue and get Asensio on loan to help cover CAM for at least the first half of the season. He's still a very good player on his day- loads of experience. Great set pieces.
We already have two expensive French players who play on the left wing who aren't called Johnson.
I could see it possibly being a subtle way to let people know he's waiting around to leave, but even still that's a stretch.

Maybe Como are trying to buy out the 50% to then do a deal with us? I highly doubt it but just a thought.

RW: Kudus, Johnson

Sadly I think Levy will look at that and think we already have a lot of cover at left wing. Johnson has scored in each of our games so far.
Kudus goes down though and all of a sudden we are lining up like this:

Also worrying is that both our starting options are our best right-wingers. Until Kulu returns this means Frank will have a tricky time rotating both Johnson and Kudus at the same time, else we might have to send out an attack like this:

I might have misread the tweet. Specifically the bit about maintaining the buyback at a higher amount.
What I meant was that Real Madrid would not keep the buyback clause were Paz to be sold to us.
If that’s not what it suggests, then why would Real Madrid agree to any negotiations with Como? It’s clear what Como would gain but unclear what Real Madrid would get out of any renegotiation…
