Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ok so from last nights updates...

1. Paz does not want to play for us. End of debate, move on.
2. Hincaipe wants to leave Leverkusen and has a release clause. We approached 10 days ago and was told a deal wasn't possible? Assume we don't want to pay the RC or else Hincaipe has also rejected us.
3. City still don't want to sell Savinho. This is starting to look like a non-runner to me. He'd be a spurs player already if this deal was going to happen.
4. No updates on another 10.
5. Gill will be leaving us for free.

So yeah no good news. All bad news on the transfer front.

There is actually a good argument to say Hincapie could be the most important signing. You look to keep the defence consistently solid and at a high level and give yourself a solid base and a chance in every/most games. It doesn’t seem like it now because the season has just started, 1 game a week VDV/Romero/Spence fit. But it won’t stay like that.

buy attacking players(which we should do as well) then having to rely on Davies(again no offence Ben) might upset the balance and identity of the team a bit more
We won't get Hincapie but completely agree that a proper Davies upgrade should have been deliverable and raised the level of the team across the season. It will be Davies again though sadly.

This is exactly what’s happening.

So Paz, that was a fun little rumour for all of 10 minutes. Stupid cunt holding out for Madrid, if they wanted him that much why did he end up at Como?

Bet you they'll sell him within a couple of years, probably to Chelsea.

PSG after another attacking player? Fuck off you greedy bastards, haven't they got an academy?

Everyone is rejecting us but with the amateurs at the top, who can blame them?

Works in our favour tbh. Kang-in Lee is attainable if we quit fucking around with other 'targets'.

Hincapie is a very good cb (his natural position) and a decent lb. Very good feet but a bit short to play cb in PL. Vdv and Udogie are better. He will be a reserve. I understand your point, but your team have several holes and it's crazy spend 60m for a luxury signing without first fix what is missing.
Udogie has been really poor for over a year. Sure we have other pressing issues, but with a couple of injuries, our defense is leakier than the front rows of a Michael Bublé concert

Didn't realise he's only 24 and his wages are actually quite reasonable at 60k a week. I assumed he was late 20s ond on over 150k a week at PSG.

He definitely looks the most realistic target right now. Not sure if he's much of a ceiling raiser(I'd still prefer a fit Maddison) but he's attainable and better than what we currently have available. The fact he's only 24 too means his best years are still ahead of him. He probably makes the most sense right now.

The Premier League team is fine for numbers, but we can only register 22 players for the Champions League as things stand

Solanke/Richarlison
Tel/Kudus/Johnson/Odobert
Kulusevski/Sarr
Gray/Palhinha/Bentancur/Bergvall
Porro/Udogie/Spence
Romero/Danso/van de Ven/Dragusin
Vicario/Kinsky/Austin

We're talking upgrades with any new signings which will mean, for every new signing, one player will have to be removed from the above. Who are you taking out?
