Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

With a bit of luck we might even stay up this season.
Don't be a drama queen. We've put in 3 absolutely brilliant performances. We also beat Arse and drew with Newcastle in the summer.

Frank has proven already that many of the players the fans wrote off are much better than they thought.

We won't win anything without some extra ready made quality, but we'll be top 8 easily bar another injury catastrophe. Which is less likely.

West Ham interested in Werder Bremen attacking midfielder Schmid
Latest from Sky Sports News' Chris Reidy and Zinny Boswell:

West Ham are interested in Werder Bremen attacking midfielder Romano Schmid.

They have explored the conditions of a potential deal for the 25-year-old.

Other Premier League clubs have also been monitoring the Austria international's situation.

To replace Paqueta?
Or are we one of the other PL clubs?

Here's our chances of signing the following players.

Rodrygo 0.1% - he will have better offers.

Paz 1% - we cant buy a player off one team. Trying to buy a player from two teams is near on impossible especially when one of those teams is Real.

Savinho 5% - transfer fee is too expensive... wage demand too high and agents cut too big.

BEK 40% - Levy will have a figure in mind and wont go above it so this is getting more unlikely as every day we approach the end of the window the price goes up by 1m.

Paqueta 51% - now this is levy territory. Player keen to leave and hammers appear to be skint.

Carlos Kickaball 99.9% - Peruvian U18 international who is going to be the next Nobby Solano. 15m paid in 15 annual payments should get the job done.

Just watching 5 mins of Newcastle vs Liverpool.
Utterly 1 sided in favour of Newcastle. Then Liverpool just smash one in from range.
Anyway, what struck me was how average their bench looks.

That bench for Liverpool is nowhere near as rich as the likes of PSG or City.
Arses yesterday wasn't exactly glittering tbh.

Bbbbbuuuuttttt waaaages

They're the current champions of England and have a weak bench and every one here is moaning our biggest problem is a weak bench.
They have signed a load of players but are still predominantly an "11 man team" rather than a good side with good depth.

Okay,understand.

I would slightly disagree, but do think an injury to Van Dijk is an irreplaceable loss,a lot more th an let's say Saliba for Woolwich or similar to any club.

Liverpool score goals however, amd from all parts of the team, which makes them the threat they are.

I think if there is one major lesson to learn from the Kudus and Palinha signings is that top level premier league proven players can have a seismic impact and MGW is just that.

Paz is just a relatively unknown kid playing reasonably well in Serie A, I’ve not seen anything from him which tells me he could cut it in the premier league.
Playing reasonably well? He was in the Series A team of the year last year, his first season, at 19. Doing a bit better than okay.

We've also signed loads of players from the prem that have been shite. We spent £65m on one of those last season as it happens.

Look at their first goal tonight......totally against the run of play and from absolute nothing.

Agree. I think Liverpool look like a worse side than last season. I don’t think they win the title this time, though maybe FA or CL.
