Madrid, Barca, United etc...earned their reputation by winning time and time again. Spurs have won 1 proper trophy in 40 years - that is not going to attract top players who want to win trophies.

that's a bit harsh. i think he's like the mom and pop business that's outgrown their capabilities and need to bring in people who know how to franchise the company. it is kind of a bad joke that this non football person still has so much control over the football side of things when we are such a massive club. he needs to step aside and take credit for what he's built and let the new blood take it from here. all the pieces are in place for us to be a true giant if levy and enic will just allow it.

Don't think so. If one day undersea cables are all wrecked and we are back to dialup we will find something else to do. Like what the pandemic has done to humans when we couldn't travel. When people are doing content and not being paid, nobody will bother doing it anymore.

You see the links to someone like Paz, with one season of football under his belt, and I genuinely think we could do worse than just sign up some youngsters from the Madrid B team, or Bayern, having seen the runaround their youngsters gave our first team in pre-season.

IMO The issue for Spurs is there are very few 'top' players available in the positions we want to fill - MGW Notts F Chairman decided he wasn't selling and 'told' player he wasn't going, Eze wanted Woolwich, Rogers Villa will not want to sell ...... so we are left with the likes of Lookman who is a decent player we looked at when at Charlton, but is not a 'top' player. Availability of players is king, and not too many are

We also bought (pre Poch) the likes of Eriksen, Vertonghen, Alderweireld et al when they were good prospects - and they developed to become top players whilst at Spurs, we did NOT buy the players they became

We bought the likes of Odobert, because we thought he was a good youngster who might become a top player. And he might be ..... but 1 or 2 years down the line. Good news is we bought Kudus and Palhinha for the here and now, and might get the experienced Kulusevski fit around Christmas time..

Cant recall when there was last window i felt basic needs were not addressed at all like this time.

Ok, we didnt buy anyone in 2018 but at least starting eleven was sorted at that time. Or we made bad deals like in 2013, 2019 or 2020 but at least we did something to address needs.

Right now we dont have even single reliable AM that can start game. And it seems to me it will stay this way. Complete madness.

Bullshit. You make offers to make the clubs tbink about it. You use your stature as a club to unsettle players. Fucking go there and bully Villa or Forest for MGW or Rogers. Go there and tell Savinho "if you don't hand in a transfer request, we're out, and you can tell your World Cup chances bye bye".
The problem is, this club has no balls.
