Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Why do some think Vuskovic on loan means a new CB coming in?

Who in their right mind in a WC year where minutes matter is going to come here to be 4th CB and at best sit behind VDV most of the season. No one of note. And those that would aren't worth taking.

It will be VDV, Romero, Danso, Dragusin, Takai, Davies, Gray for this season.

Aint no way we're letting Vusko go without a replacement, wonder who it will be...?

Dance Lol GIF

It appears to be a great money laundering business. Not surprised Ngumoha jumped ship and went to Liverpool at 16. Apparently Tariq George is probably moving,
Will be interesting over the next few years to see if Cheksea keep producing these boys. The people who were running their academy have left in last year or two.
I thought about six months ago players and at least fairly intelligent agents would look at their player hoarding and give them a wide berth, but they’ve just kept on joining. Really is all about the bottom line, those huge long contracts guaranteeing a young player millions and they will keep signing.

Don’t share your confidence on that tbh.

Anyway, you coming back reminded me of the previous 2 transfer window debates over Conor Gallagher and Pape Sarr.

Last summer, I’d guess the majority would have taken Gallagher even if it stunted Pape’s minutes and meant we didn’t sign Gray,

I’d say Gray instead of a Gallagher type cost us last season, that’s not controversial but when you see what Sarr is now with the chance to develop, there’s probably not many Spurs fans who would swap Gallagher for Sarr now.

Love people listing Takai in their first team squads.

The guy is built like the school nerd and doesn't even have working feet. No chance he gets any first team mins before being loaned out in Jan.

Great depth.

He only needs to look at Madueke.

Start of last season, just below Palmer you would have thought. Then.....

It's partly money, but there feels more to it.

I dunno, but Chelsea players are simply aucton pieces in my mind.

If he looks at Madueke then he’d be looking at the fact that other than a hat-trick against wolves he did very little other than a lot of very very very bad decisions.

I don’t think he’s a bad player and I enjoy his type of fun, chaos creating wingers but he only ever had himself to blame. He didn’t fall out the team due to competition but his own bad performances.

Because of PSR and FFP mainly

If Newcastle were unlimited like City and Chelsea when they started, they could pay enough money to break United monopoly but they can’t so United are safe at the top with their fan base and brand being so far ahead

It would help and PSR is a load of fucking elite establishing bullshit but ultimately Newcastle is a dead end and footballers don’t really want to live there if they have alternatives.

Strange transfer - Tanganga leaving Millwall to go to Sheffield United for £7-£10m
A player we couldn't sell and ended up giving away.

Chelsea would have got £30m for him. Somehow.
He had a a fair few injuries and I think they kept him a few windows when he had offers because of the club trained thing. I think it was actually the club facilitating a deal to Millwall where he wanted to go and rewarding his loyalty as an academy player. A bit of decency in a shitty football world.

We have heard from Ali Gold that Spurs want a CB, so it might happen. I would try again for Guehi because we haven't suffered enough rejection for one window.

I 100% believe we were in for Hincapie because he can play LB and LCB. If there's nobody else on the shortlist, maybe we stick with what we've got.

You never know how football is going to turn out, what I do know is Gallagher would have been good for our previous coach, anyway all academic.
