Failure to address the Maddison injury would be the same thing as 2018.It's way more positive than 2018 (and January 2019, which was the low point) but it does have a lot of 2023 vibes when injuries and the failure to sign a third centre half blew up a positive start.
It's not a matter of club strategy or level of ownership ambition/financial supply. It's a straightforward black-and-white question of if a transfer operation currently exists at the club at all.
