Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It's way more positive than 2018 (and January 2019, which was the low point) but it does have a lot of 2023 vibes when injuries and the failure to sign a third centre half blew up a positive start.
Failure to address the Maddison injury would be the same thing as 2018.

It's not a matter of club strategy or level of ownership ambition/financial supply. It's a straightforward black-and-white question of if a transfer operation currently exists at the club at all.

I don't have the words, I really don't.

How do we register an interest? Is there a form you sign?
  • We monitor first (5 weeks)
  • Prepare low ball bid (6 weeks)
  • Find the right phone number to call (1 week)
  • Wait for off peak calling time ( 9 hours )
  • Leave voicemail (5 mins)
  • Forget to leave your number for them to return your call
  • Accidentally butt drunk dial 4 hours later with voicemail - baldy jacking off to his new payrise (Abba money, money, money playing in background)
  • Call is returned (2 days later)

I read levy is one of the chairmen really pushing for club to be investigated regarding the current charges

So the rumour the higher-ups don’t wanna deal to him fits

Still a who knows … but that’s what I read

IIRC he was one of the designated mouthpieces of the collective clubs when it comes to EPL meetings, rule-changes and such.

No idea if that's still the case; but if he's been part of City being rightfully investigated and charges then good........

Let them be bitter bitches.... They refused to sell us Sancho without good reason... Tried to low-ball the shit out of us when they tapped Kane up...... Savinho or no Savinho; screw them.

e squad was so much better then. This squad is pathetically poor.

Should've kicked on then, yes, absolutely. But the squad was very good. If we get one injury to a key player, we're done for.

I’ve certainly no love for city …. Unfortunately they’ve been underwriting my gooner insurance

But they’re welcome to savio if levy is instrumental in them being trashed

I wouldn't dispute that we're short for a second but we looked every inch an "entire football team" in our first two games.
Oh for the love of God. This does my head in. Its like the total level of crazy you would have to be to take solice from two good results. We have lost Kulusevski Maddison Son Bissouma. We will get injuries the squad depth is pitiable. We would have won the Super cup had we MGW to bring on when Sarr tired. Did you honestly not see what happens exactly in that game having to bring on Grey and half fit Solanke. We are only playing one game a week. So Frank can prep for games individually that's not what the season will look like.

Exactly. What kind of football operation are we running? We knew Son was leaving months ago and haven't replaced him. Maddison got injured weeks ago, we haven't replaced him. We knew Deki was out-long term since April, we haven't replaced him.

It's sheer madness and the way some fans are accepting of it is utterly bizarre. Levy has always been negligent but to lose three fundamental players and not replace them is just wilful sabotage. The squad we have now is simply not ready for a CL season, that's despite Frank saying all summer that "we want to build a squad to compete in all competitions".

If Kudus gets injured, we're done. We won't be able to bring the ball up the pitch.
