No room for Messi?
A positive thing about Vuskovic is that if we had to muddle through to the next transfer window with him on the team he wouldn't be a liability. As we saw with Bergvall, some young guys are up to the challenge right away.
Could be a positive sign, if you believe that there is any truth to earlier reports that we would only move if we were confident that Chelsea weren't going to hijack.
If he gets lots of minutes, this is a good move - we'll get a highly experieced phsyically dominant teenage CB at the end of it. If he doesn't then it is a wasted opportunity for him to play a bit part in what will be a huge set of fixtures this year.
I don't think we'll sign a replacement. Between Danso, Dragusin, Gray, Takai and Davies we'd be horrifically unlucky to run short of options again this year.

I'm going to go against the grain here (and my previous skepticism)... if this information is accurate, I think we'll get him. I don't believe we'd have made a formal bid without having a cast iron guarantee from Simons that he'd sign.
I'm amazed the club have gone for another "we tried" and public gazumping rather than just getting BEK in and moving on.
