Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Simons, Kudus and Palhinha are all first XI upgrades. It's more than a good window.
He's done this with new managers most of the time.

Redknapps first window (January)
Palacios, Defoe, Keane, Cudicini & Chimbonda
His first full window 09/10 he gets Blackwood, Naughton, Kyle Walker, Jimmy Walker, Crouch, Bassong, Kaboul & Kranjcar.
Qualifies for the CL for the clubs first time
Gets Gallas on a free, Sandro and VDV. By January Bonani fucking Khumalo and Steven Pienaar.
By the next season it's Levy at his finest. Literally a bunch of freebies and Scott Parker.

This kind of behavior repeats for every manager that completes a few seasons.
In some ways this is why it isn't so bad to change managers as it's the only way the squad gets decent turn over

Those clearance numbers really excite me. 4-5 times more clearances per game than Eze.

This is amazing news.

This might have already been discussed earlier, but who is most likely displaced by Simons in the starting XI?
I think he'll play #10, so in recent games thatll be Sarr/Bergvalls place in the midfield

That said, I think Frank is likely to rotate a lot depending on opposition etc - so itll still vary a lot

EDIT : in the same vein, can see him played off the LW depending on oppo as well, drifting inside (so Johnsons place too!)

Whether it's true or not I don't know... But this stuff from some journalists about us agreeing to a significant sell on clause with Leipzig is good news I think.. Often when we've been signing young players, there's been the narrative from some that we're doing it to increase their value to sell them on at some point .

If we're willingly surrendering a big portion of a future fee,, then the money from selling him isn't a priority. Having him play for us for a long time is.

Post this window (with hopefully another couple of signings) it will be the first time I can remember where it doesn't feel like the squad needs major surgery.

Next summer would be about finding the best 9 on the market to replace Richy or Solanke or adding a more creative 6 etc. But we would be tinkering and making 1 or 2 additions rather than needing 5 or 6.

We could then push the boat out like the scum did with Rice And really target elite players.

Hopefully it only kicks in if we sell him for a profit.

We need a stronger bench if our youngsters don't really step up up this season.

I'm not being negative here, I'm genuine refreshed and excited about Spurs for the next season and beyond at last.
But I will not be letting Levy off the hook, or performing a sudden heel turn and liking him. We could have done all of this decades ago.
We could have done some of the business/work from the last week months ago.
The man is a prat.

We’re Tottenham. We’re not a selling club.

it’s not that we don’t want to. We just can’t. :levystare:

Didn't Frank say he wants two number 10s?

guess that's probably out the window now, but of course very soon it's League , CL, League Cup. Simons can't play all 3 so i guess a mix of sarr/bergvall which is fine

just need a LB/LCB and ill be content that levy and lange have done enough for Frank this window to at least be competitive
