Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The audacity to ask for a sell-on in a deal where if Bayern trigger it Chelsea make €95m. Everyone’s asking for sell on clauses this summer and everyone’s saying yes to them.
I think the 15mil loan fee is part of that 80mil package...Bayern would only pay an extra 65mil if they triggered it next summer.

Still, 80mil total for Jackson is crazy money. But can see him score plenty in the Bundesliga, as Bayern are so dominant. All about how he does in the CL.

Xavi wanted Chelsea.

He did but Chelsea never actually made an attempt to sign him and agree a deal with the club, or at least by the time they did, we had already swayed Xavi to us.

No such situation with Hincapie. He’s chosen Woolwich, Woolwich have agreed a deal and he’s now going there for a medical. So moaning about why we need Hincapie and we should have signed him is rather pointless when he was clearly never an option.

Annoying as he was the perfect profile. Really fucks me off how aggressive Woolwich have been in the market this summer. They don’t even really need Hincapie but they’ve swapped a squad player with a top quality CB. He will hardly play there as well. Hopefully it’s a one off as I don’t see how they can continue operating like this in future windows.

UEFA rules say we must have 2 GKs in the squad. Vicario and Austin.
Kinsky being omitted would not surprise me at all.

Wrong mate, sorry:

“ In the UEFA Champions League, each team is required to register a squad of up to **25 players** for the competition. According to UEFA regulations, this squad must include **at least three goalkeepers**. This rule ensures that teams have sufficient goalkeeper options to cover injuries or other unforeseen circumstances during the tournament.

So, the minimum number of goalkeepers required in a UEFA Champions League squad is **three**.

Kinsky will be in the CL squad, I’ll make any bet you like.

I agree, even at €80m, it’s silly money for sure, but imo it’s insane that a sell-on was accepted.

And how much will he really play behind Kane? I think Bayern just accepted anything to get some depth in for this season alone, that loan fee probably being evidence of that

He said dragusin will be back training with team after international break

VDV
Romero
Danso
Davies
Dragusin

5 centre backs, with takai to round it up to 6 when he's fit, and gray who can go there in an emergency.

I can see why we may have bigger fish to fry with just 3 days left in the window

Really don’t get this mentality. Dragusin won’t be match fit for most of the season and he can’t play LCB, Danso can’t play LCB, Takai isn’t ready, we’ve seen the difference between VDV and Davies at LCB.

If I’m choosing between Odobert and Tel as LW depth or Davies at LCB depth, the priority is pretty fucking obvious (to me at least).

This was posted an hour ago on SC from "The Goat" which is their anonymous ITK

"The Goat hears a CB is likely to be next, with Ake and Akanji, two names passed along. We did enquire about Nathan Collins at the start of the window but got a hard 'no'

Savinho is still possible, if not, then a deal for Lookman is being explored, this will probably run until Monday. Lee Kang-In was also mentioned but nothing about how serious or how far along that might be."

Hmmm...I have a feeling of deja vu as I think I've read about all those players being linked to Spurs in the press already

We can put in a U21 GK to make up the 3.

AI Overview

For UEFA club competitions like the Champions League, a 25-player List A squad requires a minimum of two goalkeepers to be included on that list, with an additional requirement that there must be at least three goalkeepers in total across List A and the optional List B

Whilst you’re all having a cuppa and a sarnie, have a watch of this, which I’ve now posted 3 or 4 times🤣🤣 as Stefan explains why between now and Monday could see some very interesting moves…he also mentions us….

“Most of the teams at the top of the table have got players who are going to have to go one way or the other…the reality is, most of the buying clubs are sitting tight, knowing that the closer we get to the 1st of September, the selling clubs are going to have to subsidise heavily”

Scored 11 goals in the league from 10.4 XG.

Not saying you're of this position whatsoever but the constant 'Postecoglu set his team up to get Johnson back post tap ins' nonces on this forum are so boring. Maybe someone who's blatantly got a very good knack of finding his way into goalscoring positions who scores slightly more goals than he should relative to the chances maybe a pretty handy player in a better more organised team?

Yep. Even I, one of the biggest critics of the player am willing to see how he does under another manager. He may well step up. I’m not sure he has the mentality for it but you never know with people. Hopefully he proves me wrong. But hes scored two good goals in two games so far. Second half v Burnley he was a totally different player to the one of last season. If he can be arsed to perform like that every match we will have a real asset on our hands.

Do well this season, and a certain Harold might wanna come back to us next season (since Bayern are already thinking about replacements for the future, and we also have a buy back or a first refusal), to be that missing final piece for us to be genuine contenders for the title.

A man can dream...

Kane can fuck off to man united with his mate Neville. Not welcome back at Spurs.
