Could quite easily have backfired.
Toffees took the gamble and atm are benefiting from it.
IMHO we are a bit risk averse post N’Dombele.
It would have been a one year loan....No risk,
No brainer

I think it may be Solomon and Gil.I suspect it will be Ankanji and Lookman which I am fine with
My ideal would be Ake and Rogers/Savinho but can’t see it.

Armstrong disagrees.
Can I ask why so many are talking about Morgan Rogers? Is there any valid reports that this deal is even remotely possible? I'm just surprised that his name keeps being brought up. I haven't seen any independent journalist mention this deal being on.
I assume Rogers starts for Villa tonight and then the deadline is tomorrow. So I really can't see how this is even close to being a runner unless I've missed something. I'd have it at under 5%.
Chris?
No way is he injured, because he told you,or because you feel it in your waters, or other?
Don't care.
Semenyo was a beast, such a handful. Don't know if there's anyone with a similar profile we could get in 48 hours on top of the midfielder I think we need and a LB
Left it all too late as usual
I felt it in my ballsack.
No, because it's clearly a transfer injury. When the window closes, he'll be back fit, watch.
I must admit I've never seen Paqueta play and thought "beast".You see that guy and see lightweight? He’s mobile but also a beast. Hes played CM plenty of times. Last season Transfermarkt have 15 appearances at AM, 4 at CM and 5 at DM(pivot).
Hes an all round midfielder with attacking instincts
I agree. Not sure what the real story is here although I have my suspicion.
He featured in city's pre season friendly on the 9th of aug. The following week no news of injury until the pre match game after news of our interest broke.
Essentially hes had a niggle since the 9th or Aug. Theres no description of his type of injury anywhere out there, its a secret injury.
Foden and cherki injured for today's game.
My hunch is that paqueta is the Cork in the bottle here. Im not going to watch the spammed match but will be interesting to see if he gives any kind of indication that hes off after the match.
Paqueta > villa
Rogers > city
Savinho > spurs.
Thats what im hoping can happen and if not lookman on loan would be a good result.
I must admit I've never seen Paqueta play and thought "beast".
Instead I've thought "nice passer and some nice tricks but a massive flake who goes missing when the chips are down"
I might be wrong and it's the environment he plays in but the last thing Spurs need is another 1 in 5 performer. We need players who will consistently drop 8 out of 10 performances every week, season after season . MGW has done that - Paqueta never (at least in English football).
Fools for them, just means the price goes down next year if that is the case.Yeah it's clear his agent wasnt here for a holiday
But I think this City board member has blocked us here
