Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I felt it in my ballsack.

No, because it's clearly a transfer injury. When the window closes, he'll be back fit, watch.

I suspect if forum fingers know this, so do the club, and it would not prevent a further bid.

You are possibly right, which also suggests the player wants the move but unlike some players is not considered to be in the right frame of mind to give his all on the pitch.

Or it makes no sense to say he is injured.

See, if we were smart we could have taken Grealish on loan for a year and gone all out for Semenyo next summer

That presumes Frank could see that, or that he looked at Grealish, and thought 3 - 5 games...

I think Grealish is like a Le Tissier. Very good players, but possibly need to stay in a relatively small pond, and be the man. Not sure it would have worked with us, but I dp think he offers something we dont have.

We’re done bar some random kid from somewhere - we all know it
I think the Lookman deal is easy to do. Only reason we are holding off is incase city change their stance on savinho. One of Ake/Akanji sounds very possible too.

But can we really bring in 2 more players without selling Bissouma and Soloman? Surely we'd need both of them out the door before we sign anyone else.

Imagine we will be very active tomorrow but I reckon Lookman and 1 of Akanji/Ake is the best possible outcome.

Seem to be a lot of discussions going on - question which if any of them will result in a transfer.

As I understand it :

Akanji or Ake

Savinho or Lookman

Rogers or Paqueta (and if Rogers comes to us Villa probably buy Pacqueta as replacement)

Am I missing any other possible transfers ?

Akanji and Ake on ManCity bench - might be just to say 'price is high as he's in our first team squad

Paqueta starts for Wham.

Does that suggest he's not moving ?

Don't care.

People are living in denial if they think Johnson is a poacher.

It's mental gymnastics, to justify why Johnson is a complete waste of space, when he doesn't score.

And yesterday was a shinning example of why we can't afford players like him in the squad.
Forgive me but;

Yesterday Spurs couldn't create an opportunity or defend properly.

Brennan is currently Spurs most prolific goalscorer.

He was asked to play off the left wing.

As much as I was frustrated with the errors Brennan made; I also acknowledge that he could have been switched to the right side or centre.

Richarlison has previously played well off the left for Spurs and Everton.

Why does this fake account keep getting posted ffs
lol and I think that account is single handily driving this Morgan Rogers nonsense.

Just because Villa are signing Paqueta a few big spurs fan accounts have added 2 and 2 together to get 5. There's zero substance to these Rogers links. The Villa fans aren't even aware of this - he's contracted with them till 2030 and he's going to play 90 mins for them tonight. It's all clickbait nonsense by our own big spurs accounts.

And?

He had the same problem when he played on right. So what exactly would have been solved?

The problem with Johnson, doesn't go back to yesterday and because he was asked to play on the left, it goes back nearly two seasons.

When he doesn't score he offers nothing. Regardless whether he plays on the left or right.

I disagree.

Brennan has assisted several goals with low crosses from the right byline.

He also scores goals from central positions and off the right during counter attacks.
