Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Even if Solanke's injury is not long term he had multiple layoffs last season and Richy's legs are made of popsicle sticks and gaffer tape, makes sense to have 3 senior strikers on the books when 2 of them are injury prone and we have minimum 50 games this season.
Solanke ain't what we need, hard worker but he ain't no finisher, Richy... So good on his day but injury prone, we need cover here for sure.

Question Mark What GIF by MOODMAN

Palhinha has caught the eye in many of his minutes and Bentancur was being lauded as being back to his best.

But suddenly they are shit and we should have played Bergval and Gray?

Both are still learning and probably would have been massively exposed by Bournemouths pressing and hard work; if anything Bergval perhaps should have played instead of Sarr, but yeah it’s on Palhinha and Bentancur.

I can imagine the meltdown had we started with Gray and Bergval and the exact same thing happened. It happened because we weren’t at it and Bournemouth wanted it more, and we had no answer to their pressing.
Agreed. The idea that starting Archie Gray would have changed things yesterday is pretty laughable. TBH while Palhinha's passing was poor, he made a few useful tackles.
