For us I think there is a good chance he sees a lot of time at LW- especially if we are playing defensively with a 3 man midfield.

You can't blame the minnow for being eaten by a bigger fish. Palace aren't financially in a position to spurs huge sums from clubs like Liverpool and woolwich. Life as the manager at clubs like Palace is about developing the next big star that can be sold off. They're, arguably, the 6th biggest club in London alone...you don't sign up to manager there and get the hump because a player was sold - of course they were.
Just do the deal and work-in healthy amortisation in lieu of loan option.
