Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Call it irrational optimism, but I think one or both of Tell and Odebert will improve enough to make the wing position less of a problem than it seems at the moment. I do admit, though, I wish Son had been willing to stay around one more season.

I'm happy with giving them the chance to step up

We have Simons pulling the strings, Kudus stretching teams - what an opportunity for talented young players to show what they can do

I’m happy we didn’t do something short sighted and end up stunting the chances for Tel and Odobert. No doubt they both make strides this year.

RKM and Simons able to play LW when needed so we have flexibility

Another season of praising "The Young Players", while Woolwich, Chelsea, City, Liverpool are fighting for Glory. Don't you feel crappy being, along with United, one of the top six step children? What's worse is that Dad (Levy) keeps promising Us the World.

Levy and ENIC out!!!!!

I think our squad is looking really good now. Average age is 23.7. Average height is 1.85m. Main weaknesses are at LCB/LB, so a shame we did not get a deal done for Hincapie, Akinji or Ake. Obviously a real shame that Maddison and Solanke got injured in pre-season, but we have good cover / competition. Despite it being disappointing to miss out on Savinho, who would have really elevated our left side, we have the best set of WFs I think we've ever had at the club. I know some fans have reservations about Tel and Odobert, but I am sure Cochrane will get a really good tune out of them. I know it was a late opportunistic signing in response to Solanke's injury, but I am really excited by Muani. HE can play across th efront 3, and I think is a seriously good player who has a 1 in 2 record at Juve and Frankfurt. He can play RWF, allowing Kudus to play central, he can lead the line, or he can play off the left (where I think he will be best for us this season). Exciting times.

What a weird transfer window that was. Some properly exciting signings and it doesn't seem to scream much in the way of a data led approach.

The lows (MGW and Eze) were properly low.

The high (Simons) was incredibly high.

It's a solid 7/10 window for me.
