Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Objectively speaking we need to sell him. He's been a crap transfer. Came in a political shit storm leaves in a similar one, two assits in a game we'd win anyway. If he was in any way good enough to let his football do the talking he'd be playing. I fear Tel Solomon they are important indicators of Turkey Buzzard like opportunism and none of the phantom BS data driven focus. Davies, Tel, Solomon, Dragusin, Scarlett, Johnson , Lange not fit for purpose or up to where we aspire to be.

Meh, no idea what this has to be with my post - youre one of the least objective posters on here so i dont really respect your opinions on things mate.

sorry.

Better players charge higher wages
Harry Kane Spurs GIF by BT Sport

Manor did fuck all for us, not sure he's done anything to deserve well wishes and good luck messages.

Nothing football-related anyway.

Hahahha, again what? How is that checkup of yours going :D ?

He is a player that signed for Spurs. He is contracted to us. He played few times. Then became surplus.

But I mean, I wish good luck to people that haven't played a single minute for Spurs to. Or any football at all in their life.
Might wish you that as well if you would behave like a normal human being :D !

Judging by his time with Fulham and his 4 or 5 appearances with us he's not exactly anything to fear , it's not like we'd be coming up against a kane or a Modric.. I guess Solomon did ok at Leeds but he's championship level at his very best..

Generally agree, think he's top end Championship lower end PL , but staying at Spurs he'd be at best a squad player we were looking to upgrade on as at 26 he's not going to get better whereas an Odobert with decent coaching is quite likely to improve and be a much better player than Solomon

Why?

Who won the CL last season, the recognized premier European Trophy?

What about the FA, and Carabao Cup's. Big spenders didn't win those either?
You are talking about one off cup matches.

This level of financial imbalance is not sustainable. Some of the best clubs in the other top leagues are losing their best players to relegation candidates and mid table sides in the EPL.

Just look at how Chelsea breezed through the conference league last year. It was a mockery of a competition. And the Europa had the 15th and 17th placed PL teams in the finals. It’s getting more and more imbalanced each year. Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern Munich will all survive enough to be relevant but 2nd tier teams in other leagues can’t compete.

You can't force a player under contract to sign for another club.

Bergvall i am told turned down Barca for us?

MGW is now set for life, his wife happy to stay close to family, Eze a Woolwich fan.

Shit happens, but in the case of Eze, we now have a 10, five years younger, far cheaper and in my humble opinion far, far quicker and more skilful.

Fate has a strange way or righting wrongs.

Time will tell, but i think we came out of losing both MGW and Eze in a good way.

As an observation, MGW was terrible on Sunday, and i mean terrible.

I don’t think I’m saying anything controversial.

Yes a lot worked out in the end. I’m thrilled we were able to sign Simons.

But you can’t say the way Spurs moved this window filled you with confidence. I can't be the only one who thought "what are we doing? Do we even have a plan?" many times throughout the window.

Ultimately I'm happy with the business. We aimed for a higher level of player. Four players that could /should start most matches. They all have CL experience too. But for most of the window, it felt like we placed our hopes into targets that were never realistically coming here.

He was bought to sell . Opportunistic signing by Daniel due to the Ukraine war. Thought we would have got 10-15m for him. Might do well for Villarreal to put his price up.

I think he will be eligible to play unless there is a specific clause in loan agreement. uefa rules different from FA/PL rules
He will be able to play. Nothing we can do about it, similarly Muani will be able to play in Paris.
You cannot put a clause as you are suggesting in an international loan contract, as is seen by UEFA as one club having undue influence on another which is strictly against their rules.

Similarly Nicolas Jackson can play for Bayern against Chelsea for example.

In unlikely case that a player was loaned between 2 Premier League teams that were in Champions League and they had to play each other in that competition, player would be eligible to play despite not being allowed to play in Premier League against same club.

It happened between Leverkusen and Munich previously that have similar rules to Premier League around loaning

Palace should have been capable of winning the conference but now with Guehi in a strop I wouldn’t bank on it.
Chelsea have won every cup possible only because the likes of Madrid and Bayern will never be in the Europa or conference.

Listening now, it's pretty good, if a little dry.

The guy on the left's strange blinking bugged me more than it should have. I know we can't help our tics, but I found myself imitating it if I watched for more than a minute.
I thought the guy on the left WAS the guy on the right....
It was only the tics that distinguished them from eachother!

Like the two brothers on We Are Tottenham TV , but less annoying!

That’s the exception to prove the rule. For the previous 11 seasons the 33 domestic trophies had been won by 5 clubs. Utd,City,Pool, Arse and Chelsea apart from 2. Both won by Leicester .
Newcastle have spent quite a lot of money also, that’s why they struggle with PSR .

Might take you a few more years of fumbling around thinking that NewsNow & Google constitute a "source", but you're bound to work out how this all works eventually........
If anyone needed a bin it was Airfixx Airfixx hes been on full cunt settings so long, I don't think he can even hear himself. They working him way too hard.
