Am I right in thinking that all our new boys are off with their respective national teams?

I'm far from being a man of faith but I shall be lighting candles and sinking to my knees before each of their games.

Edit

End of window edit:

6/8/DP
Palhinha 5/10
30yo very one dimensional Palhinha the only add, Bentancur still here. Bissouma neither here nor gone. From this very important area of the pitch it's been a bad window.
Overall 3/10

Attack
Kudus 7.5/10, Simons 8.5/10, RKM 7/10, Tel 4/10
In isolation of this window alone, those three together are good business, possibly as good a business as we've ever done in one zone in one window. The fact that it's put us in the position that we should be in already somewhat tempers it. And we singularly failed to bring in a quality first team ready LF, despite shipping out Son, failed to ship out Richarlison or Johnson.
Overall 7.5/10

LCB
No one
Overall 0/10

LB
No one
Overall 0/10

If you were just rating our attacking recruitment this window, you'd say it was a very good window, trouble is, we've still managed to somehow not add a back up LB or LCB (or a hybrid who can cover both), we've only added a 30yo, fairly one dimensional, not so busy any more cunt to a midfield that lacked any press resistance or passing ability. We also didn't shift any of the dross, which is one of the reasons our net spend keeps looking high, because we never get any fucking money for our shitcunts like other top teams do. So overall, being realistic, I 'd say it was a 6/10.

Too harsh BC.

One of the other success of the window you do not mention is we kept all the players we needed to, good examples being Romero and Spence whose contracts we extended.

And to show how a far more affluent and highly rated club fared in dealing with a vital area of the pitch - Liverpool failed to get Guehi over the line, and are very dependent upon 33 year old Van Dyke and injured Konate whilst wanting to offload Gomez for a couple of years. Liverpool fans very nervous atm about CB options with the chance that VDV might suddenly go downhill like Son did.... and they worry over 34 year old Salah their other top player and the Son comparison.

Had we not run into Notts Forest chairman we would have upgraded the midfield position with MGW...... and there were not other top cm's we wanted and didn't compromise by getting in someone no better than what we got.

Another club chasing us, Villa, lost about 6 players from last season, brought in 2 and almost lost their GK

So we have undoubtedly done far better than your piece suggests. A good 7 or 8 out of 10. Love to repeat this next summer too !

Where did he say or even imply that we are?

He's rightly laughing at you for caressing gooner asshole with your tongue. Woolwich are now serial bottlers - I'm sorry if that upsets you.

Don't you think it's really weird that you're posting on a spurs form praising the scum?

Take a break and then come back and apologise, kiddo.
I'm not praising them you morons, just stating that they have a better squad than us and we didn't do enough in the window again...
So none of you think there squad is better and that we didn't do enough to apparently try to compete....its frustrating being lied to every season, after not so long ago we were finishing above them but did nothing with the advantage.. we just waited for them to wake up and overtake us................
People on here need to calm down and actually wad what posters are actually writing, if you say something that people know is true but would prefer to just bury there heads, because someone compared us to Woolwich or chelsea .
Just in case some of you have lost it completely, they are our 2 big rivals and the only 2 teams that matter , in terms of us being better than .......wow now run off or you will be late for school

You've done nothing but praise them, actually. Maybe you should a) think before you post and b) read your content before posting them

And I WISH I was still of school age. Give it a rest you dumbass.

You have an IQ lower than an orange, and that's me being kind.

Go get a job, please. Have a nice day x

I am all for speculative purchases of young talent. Dele is probably the finest example in our recent history, and both Bergvall and Sarr look being very successful purchases in the same vein. However, I still cannot get my head around spending as much as £40m on the likes of Gray and Tel. That is an awful lot to spend on players that the club clearly acknowledge are not ready to start (otherwise we wouldn't have gone out to get Palhinha, Muani, and tried to buy Savinho). With the £80m we have committed to Gray and Tel we could have bought MGW or Savinho early in this window. If Levy really wants to win the PL and the CL we need more Savinhos and less Tels. Either Tel and Gray start and develop and become the players we want in 18 months, or they stagnate and go backwards. If we had of bought Wharton when he moved to Palace he'd still be an unused squad player and woudl not have shown any of th eform he has found at Palace.
I think the hope is that both Gray and Tel will eventually become very good players. Gray is probably still in shell shock from last season where he pretty much played every position baring GK and CF for us. On evidence I do think Gray will come good but we will probably loan him out in Jan then sell him next summer for 15-20m. He will ball somewhere and the club who bought him off us will sell him to one of the giants for 100m. With Tel, I'm just not sure what to make of it all. He looks miles off being able to help us in the short and medium turn. I get the feeling he has a Marcus Edwards type career in him. He will go to Belgium or mid table Dutch side. Play really well to earn a move to Sporting, Porto or Benfica. Have one outstanding season there then taper away and find himself playing for a team that has just been promoted to the PL.

Also genuinely how many of our squad would get into their squad, and who would they replace ???
I would say muani is better than jesus.
Kudus better than trossard, I know it's a slightly different position....
Van de ven and romero for Ben white and timber..
That's it....4 players.....
Wgat do you think, I would love to know your thoughts on the 2 squads ?
Give yourself a talking to!!!!

Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori, Zubimendi, Merino, Rice, Martinelli, Madueke, Gyokeres. - This is the team the Lined up with against Liverpool - none of these cunts are getting in our starting 11!!!!!

Being objective, the Woolwich squad on paper appears to be better than ours. However, we have done some terrific business in this window. Okay, I am not a fan of Palhinha but the three attackers we bought in are game changers and right now I wouldn't swap our forward options for theirs. Also, they can't play under pressure and they are also saddled with a manager who plays not to lose. They will be good, they should be they have a 250m net spend this window but mark my words. They will not do the double over us this season.

Really...so one trophy and no chance of anymore...or being among the favourites for the Premier league and the champions league with a stacked squad that any club would love to have...
Ffs the backup left sided defender they just signed would walk into our team..
Let's see hiw many trophies they win in the next five years and how many we win...
I can tell you right now who has a better chance, those scumbags up the road in red...

We should have real ambitions to one day celebrate such pinnacles as "putting the pressure on", "winning the first half of the season", "the transfer window cup", and "st totteringham's day" - not embarrasing things like actual european trophies

The thing is the same people who are shitting on Poch are saying what a good job Arteta is doing, both couldn't do enough to get there teams to win the league (so far to avoid jinx), however lets be honest if you gave Poch 1 billion of investment while he was here with half decent scouting I think he wins a league minimum.

All things considered, that's a pretty shit line up. Raya thinks he's a sweeper. I always think you can get any of their back 4 sent off especially Grabriel. That midfield baring Rice is meh. They want rid of Martinelli. Madueke is all razzle no dazzle and don't even get me started on Gyokeres. Scoring goals in the Championship and Portuguese League is one thing. Doing it in the Prem is another... the great thing about his signing is that pretty soon they will realise they've had their pants pulled down but they've got to keep playing him to save face.

Which back up left side defender walks into our team?

Hincapie?

I wanted us to sign him but he’s not walking into our team. And they will waste him there.
