Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Amazing a lot of our fans didn’t want Enrique that summer when he was linked. I never got it why so many were against him coming in.
Enrique is one of the most weirdly viewed managers in world football.

Like, yes, he won a lot with prime MSN at Barcelona. But that doesn't mean that he is a high quality manager that has worked both at smaller and bigger clubs.

If Messi says that you are the joint best manager that he has worked under alongside Pep. And Pep says that you are the best manager that he has faced alongside Klopp. Then you are probably pretty darn good.

and I’m sure I read on SC that apparently he had asked for a monster transfer budget that easily doubled our maximum window expenditure

And if you factor in that I - Fazz from TFC - concur with Messi and Pep, then that should confirm it for everyone

If Pep winning everything at Barca makes him a high quality manager then the same applies to Enrique.

He’s turned PSG into the best team in the world after they lost Mbappe.

Yeah. There are people that like to claim that he was only as successful as he was at Barca because he inherited Pep's team.

But he still managed to implement his own style and tactical tweaks on them and have them buy in. Even after having a bit of a public spat with Messi early on. And now Messi is one of his biggest champions.

This should be read as Palace need to raise some money.

So they advertise Wharton is for sale to encourage bids from clubs. Joined Palace from Blackburn just over a year ago for £20m

They know no chance of bids of £80m, not least because Wharton has been injured a lot (only played 50% of games this season, Buts its a good way to persuade clubs to bid high, and they'd be astonished if anyone bid anywhere close to £80m.

All good my friend. We can agree to disagree.

Glad that we could disagree and discuss without the anger and the name calling that sometimes happens on this forum when people have differing opinions.

Let's try to enjoy the second leg of this semi final.
