Why is he I'm "high demand"?? he's produced next to nothing and didn't Southampton drop him from the starting line up near the end?

imagine our signings are him and Tel.

Agree that it's hard to see why Dinling would be in high demand. Looked good for a few games, direct, bright and powerful, but didn't really do much once the noise had quietened.

Looks a player but I think we have to caution against too many players seen to have potential.

Our signings, not that I am hopeful or confident of a good window (one that makes us objectively better) won't be just Tel and Dibling, and could easily be neither.

I think Tel will unfortunately be signed.

bro we are not getting 80m for Romero.

Think we can get 55m if lucky but realistically should be looking at 50m. If he doesn't renew contract then sell ASAP.
He has 2 years on his contract. Is one of the best CB's in the World. To put it in perspective, fucking scum got £29M for Eddie fucking Nketiah. If us as fans don't rate our players, then other clubs won't either. Palace want £70M for Guehi. Guehi is not a better CB than Romero.

2 years left on his contract is the issue I guess. 3-4 years and he'd be £60m+ but worth noting that £80m for a centreback at current exchange rates would be a world record for that position - higher than City paid for Gvardiol so probably not going to happen for a 27yr old with short contract.

Gvardiol is not a better CB than Romero, nor will he ever be. We ourselves paid £55M for him, and that was before he won a WC and a European Trophy with us, while establishing himself as elite.

We need to stop buying players that bigger teams are desperate to get rid of.

How are we going to hijack it? Levy would only offer half of the salary that United are offering, it’s a non-starter.

Unless Levy changes his approach to wages we will be shopping in the same tier that we have for the last 5 years. You either come here for a big fee but a modest wage or you come here on a loan/free transfer and we pay a fairly large salary like with Perisic and Werner.

Levy does not buy players who cost £60m and then pay them £200k.

I totally get and agree with what you're saying, and again the common denominator is Levy once again.

I was just saying that if you want to chase more success, you have to go balls out and get players like Cunha in while you have the chance. Would improve our midfield situation substantially in my opinion. Man U will be getting a top player there and very well could be a difference maker next season for them.

lol! Ok Lionel! 😂

Far too inconsistent to be considered in that category.

When he puts performances in like he did in the final, week in, week out, then maybe you’ll have a point!
