Udogie has big potential. He could easily be one of the best left backs in the world in 2 years time. Just needs a defensive coach who'll go mad at him for switching off and taking unnecessary risks, unlike Ange who's basically coached him into doing that. He might flop too, still too early to judge but massive potential there.

I'd hate to see him go to City because it'll be just like Kyle Walker all over again. He'll end up winning everything with them and we'll be all complaining about how we sold him. Lets not forget we all celebrated getting 50m for Kyle Walker at the time and replaced him with Aurier! Same thing will happen here. Pep coached Walker into being a far better defender that he ever was a Spurs, and used his pace to play a much higher line. He was crucial in all their success.

Our midfield just lacks legs tbh. Bentancur and Maddison just don't get around enough. That is why Bergval always looks our best midfielder when he's on the pitch - because he can actually cover ground! Sarr can too but his form has majorly dropped off this season. We always look a much better team when Kulusevski is in midfield too because of the ground he covers. I think our best midfield will be Kulusevski Bentancur Bergval once Deki is back. Maddison and Bentancur in the same midfield is just too static

Was watching Serie A, saw that kid and he just struck me as a typical Spurs under Levy/Munn/Lange/Con Don signing, especially those we make in the forward areas. So decided to do a little post in the transfer thread. Didn't think it was a big deal, like I don't think any of what I said was that outlandish considering how we've been operating for so long.
 
Unless we can buy a top drawer central midfielder (it was a pleasure watching Vitinha last night) we should bring back Alfie Devine and see what the combinations with Bergvall, Sarr and Gray look like with and without Maddison and Deki.
 
What's with all the agents coming out and saying their players want to play for Real Madrid all of a sudden?

Just today I've seen Sarr, VDV's, Gravenbach, Dean Hujisen agent's all say almost a carbon copy quote that 'yes my client is good enough to play for Madrid and one day we would like this", it's so weird.

Shouldn't be a case of one or the other really. If we think that Tel has something to offer long term (despite what people may think of his performances so far) then £30m in addition to that outlay isn't ridiculous.

Our forward line needs a big overhaul, and the two are so different in style of play that if you're choosing between them to fill one slot then it doesn't say much for the recruitment plan.

We need to prirotise a right winger and then most probably a replacement for Richy, Tel cannot play either of these roles.

Agreed, but we also desperately need a defensive Marshall, and absolutely must buy another striker.

Maybe, who knows what those inside the club really believe to be the priority. Will we even approach the summer with a priority order in mind, or will we just see what opportunities arise and try and jump on them?

All we really know right now is that there is, or at least was in January, a desire to bring Tel to the club. Maybe this has changed since then, but if so it shouldn't be because of the availability of Delap for £30m is my main point.

No idea what the intention for Tel was or is though, Son understudy? Solanke understudy? General purpose forward to fill in everywhere?

I'm saying what we should do, not what the club will do :D

We'll probably aim to go for both but then will have Brennan Johnson as first choice and not replace Romero such is the way we do things.

Juicing things up to get their men a new better contract. That’s what agents do.

Why would you want to stay if you have any ambition as a player? It isn’t matched by the club.
