Young promising players have almost always been the ENIC M.O for transfers. But we used to sprinkle in the odd name value signing and that's where we have fallen off in recent years.
We used to be able to act as a "escape route" for a player stuck on the bench or frozen out of bigger clubs. Like when we got Van der Vaart, Bale back on loan, Lucas and Aurier from PSG and such. That's something that we need to do more as well as keeping up with constantly bringing in new young talent.

Dibling for 100m is crazy. Great talent but that is all he is. I wouldn't say he's any better than Odobert! He is far from a certain starter next season and anything above 50m is taking the piss!
If you are going to spend over 70m on an attacker then go get the proven end product like Cunha, Bowen, Kudus or Mbeumo! Dibling is still only a prospect who I'd love us to sign but crazy if he is our marquee signing
