He'll end up at Newcastle.I doubt we could do this.
Best English defender in the league for me already and the closest player in terms of raw attributes to Van Dijk but still very quite young. He should be looking for Real Madrid in his future. England need to get a move as well putting him in the first 11, other than experience I cannot see why he isn’t number 1.
If somehow we could pull it off £70-80m would be worth it. Has everything. Great on the ball and great off the ball.
You do know he's a major prick and massively overrated, right?Ange or not, just fucking sign Cherki.
Football has always been about players like this. Spurs has always been about players like this.
Delap over Ekitike any day. The French kid doing very well at Frankfurt, but his attitude (especially when he was at PSG) is awful, so much ego.In terms of buys
I assume the club is still cutting wages so youth or free transfers will be the way.
ST - replacement for Richy so Delap or Ekitike would be ideal
RWF - Dibling I guess
DM/CM - Cordosa and Gomes to replace Bissouma and Bentancur
CB - Romero will be off but we have Danso/Dragusin/Vuskovic for the RCB spot. It will be competition with VDV. Brainthwaite would be the dream but I am guessing it will be a lesser option
LB - Ait-Nouri is decent and we are linked but suspect it will be Walker-Peters
Delap, Dibling, Cordosa, Gomes, Walker-Peters, random LCB is what I expect will a load of outs. It will be very mid table.
Such an underwhelming window and roster.Bare-minimum business Spurs- Romero/Bentancur sale edition:
Out 135m: Son 25m, Romero 70m, Bentancur 25m, Bissouma 15m, Werner (Loan), Tel (Loan)
In 135m: Cardoso 25m, Dibling 40m, Delap 40m, Ait Nouri 30m
ST: Dom, Del, Richy
LW/RW: Dibling, Del, Moore / Odo, Kulu, Johnson
CAM/CM/CDM: Madd, Kulu / Berg, Sarr / Gray, Cardoso
LB/RB: Ait-Nouri, Udog / Spence, Porro
CB: VdV, Danso, Dragusin, Vuskovic, Gray
GK: Vic, Austin, GK3
Loan out: Lankshear, Yang, Devine, Donley, Phillips, Kinsky, other youth (Ajayi?)
EDIT: My intial math was poor- it does actually look like we can break even on our necessary business- mostly depending on a strong Romero sale price. I think 4-5 in and 4-5 out is about what we can reasonably expect in the summer.
All about the 2035-2036 season, pal. That's the one we're winning it all. Dez and Diz joint Ballon d'Or laureates.Dibling is nowhere near the finished product and despite flashes he's not very productive at all (2 goals and 0 assists in 25 games). Brennan Johnson has 14 goals and 3 assists this season and gets slaughtered on here ffs.
Delap contrary to what people on here think is NOT better than Solanke.
Those 2 additions would not improve our first 11 at all so if that's what we are signing then it's going to be another long season.
Knowing Mr Levy - the ones spurs had before probably had medical diplomas from Dr Hoffmanns Leech farm (see Blackadder 2nd) lol
Such an underwhelming window and roster.
That's what happens, we finish 10-15th and once again get humiliated in cup comps. Worse if the petulant manchild from Oz is still at the helm.
Too late, he's now going to be similar price. He has serious hype around him right now. That Spanish cb at Bournemouth is one we need to look at maybe even over Branthwaite big talent would be cheaper too
Really? He's bang average in my opinion. Should be nowhere near the NT.
Just the typical CM coming out of French academies these days...big, strong, can run for days but severe lack of footy IQ or tekkers. Proper water carrier, like Deschamps was.
Hard no from me. That's a West Ham player...at best.
Young promising players have almost always been the ENIC M.O for transfers. But we used to sprinkle in the odd name value signing and that's where we have fallen off in recent years. Our wages mean we will be looking at youth players and up and comers. That’s simply how the club is run. Want better need new owners who will accept a big wage bracket.
Sadly.
Its who we are mateReally? He's bang average in my opinion. Should be nowhere near the NT.

Exemplified by the fact that people now see a player who's right footed and automatically say that he can't play on the right then...Sadly.
My nephew showed me a vid on his Insta earlier, highlighting the difference between wingers from early 2000s and current ones. My heart aches now.
The game used to be about taking risks, dribbling like there's no tomorrow, attempting long range piledrivers/overhead kicks/diving headers every other minute...now it's that Pep's Barca tiki taka shit on roids, wingers no longer wingers, inverted FB, false 9 bollocks.
Beautiful game is dead. Just about being physically robust, hyper fit and able to complete 876 passes per game.
