I was, and it sounds like that's the market we'll be fishing in. Home grown disgruntled relegation fodder is Levy's dream signing.
Morecambe and Carlisle United both look set to go down from Division 2

Yahia Fofana being linked to Spurs....

In an ideal world we could do with a first choice keeper who’s not hopeless with the ball at his feet, a rabbit in headlight when trying to deal with crosses and a bit crazy. It’s not however a priority given we’ve issues at CB, LB, CM, creativity and STKR.

Even with a new coach and no suicidal tactics/playing to our strengths and the expected departures we’re still going to need:

CB - Romero and Davies replacement
LB - competition for Udogie
DM - someone who can tackle
S - Richarlison replacement/Solanke competition

It will interesting to see if the new coach views any of the kids as ready to be incorporated into the first team squad - those being Phillips, Vuskovic, Devine and Donley.

Sure, but the last few managerial appointments have all looked increasingly tenuous and desperate.

Absolutely nobody is itching to be manager of Tottenham anymore. We've gone from a solid side that was just missing one final puzzle piece to threaten for silverware in the richest league in the world, to a bloated, shambling corpse teetering above the drop zone, and where good footballing reputations go to die.

I'm convinced we're still saddled with Ange because most managers simply won't return Levy's calls.
Nagelsmann told Levy to jog on. Slot laughed at his face. Enrique didn't even take his call.

When we appointed Nuno he was what...No 6 on the list of targets? The Blob from down under wasn't even in the top 10...or maybe he was one of the leading candidates cause Levy & his cronies know dick about football.

Managers talk to each other. Imagine what Mourinho or Conte would tell Zidane, Xabi Alonso, De Zerbi etc.

If we sack Ange in the summer...and I so wouldn't be surprised if he was kept on even if we don't win the EL...then I reckon we'll go after Farioli (Ajax), Haise (Nice), Knutsen (Bodo), Henriksen (Mainz). Or someone a bit sexier like Sergio Conceicao...who is failing at AC Milan and was set to return to Nantes before his agent worked his magic.

Several clubs were said to pass on Nagelsmann due to certain demands and in the end he got the job he most wanted anyway: Deutsche mannschaft.
Levy & Lewis were not willing to pay the £10m release clause for Slot. He was in fact willing to join Spurs.
Luis Enrique was offered the PSG job

Remember lots of Spurs fans not wanting Enrique..

Can't remember what I was thinking at the time but his Spain team were dull as dishwater. Just goes to show how much training time and chemistry it takes to build his system.

CB - Romero and Davies replacement
Levy will have you know we've already got Danso, Dragusin, Ash Phillips and Vuskovic...maybe even Alfie Do...on top of Micky...and that Archie is a more than able backup. No business required

LB - competition for Udogie
Levy will tell you we've already got Djed...and Archie. No business required

DM - someone who can tackle
Daniel says we've given Bentancur a sweet new deal, also got Bergvall...and Archie. No business required

S - Richarlison replacement/Solanke competition
Who's gonna wanna pay the 40ish mil Levy is sure gonna request for Richie? So don't be surprised if he's still here next season. Our Dear Leader will also tell you we've got Lankshear, Donley and Devine coming back from loans...Deki can play as a nine...also got Brennan and Son. No business required...or maybe another Tel loan.

Honestly pal, I really really wouldn't be surprised if the above was to happen. Proper repeat of 2018...no newbies for 18 months. That wage to turnover ratio not gonna hit 30% without some more COYS Daniel creative accounting magic.

Don't matter what the coach thinks. He'll be told that's the situation and just fucking do it.

Not what I remember, but ofc maybe I'm wrong. The PR bit from the club was dead fishy regardless, which is what makes me think a convo was had between JN and Levy...and Dear Leader got told a few home truths.

Yes, the release clause. But even if they'd paid it, you still need the manager/player to agree to the move. And no way was Slot ever gonna pick us over Liverpool. I actually can't remember him saying he was ever interested in the Spurs gig.

Luis Enrique was offered the PSG job
He wasn't first choice for PSG's top brass, the deal took a fair while to get done and during that period he was gettable. Don Fabio loves him and was very keen on bringing him to N17 iirc. Had he sat down with Levy, I have zero doubt he'd have turned us down cause of our lack of ambitions, transfer fund...
