I'd love to see him in the PL. But yeah, an 80mil gamble and I don't see us go for that. Unless Sporting would be keen on a Richarlison part exchange kinda thing.

Why would they take that deal... a couple of players worth about 40m combined with 200k in salary replacing a player valued at 75m.We should offer wolves Richi and Johnson for cunha. Just what we need.
Not consistent enough for Citeh IMHO.
And Man City are ready to pay £80m for Porro....![]()
Man City 'offer' £55m to Tottenham for 'ideal option' to replace De Bruyne in 'clear message'
Man City have reportedly 'submitted a €65m (£55m) offer' for Tottenham playmaker James Maddison...👀www.football365.com

You get offered circa 140mil for Mads & Porro, you take it, then spend it along with your original transfer budget. Mainly, you spend it well ie you plug the (many) holes we have and you buy proper leaders. And Man City are ready to pay £80m for Porro....

Levy's reluctance to pay big wages automatically drops us out of the elite tier.I remember an interview with Klopp where they continuously gushed over his forwards and his reply was that Alison was his most important player.
I think it's fair to say, that no team has ever won with a poor keeper.
The biggest priority in the summer has to be to sign the very best keeper money can buy.
Mate let’s stop over hyping berg just yet. Let the kid develop. MADDs is our best player and the numbers back it up. Without him we have no one who really beat a player in tight positions or create space for themselves. Our 3 best players are Bergvall then it gets tough.. at a push is say Micky and Porro but none of those 3 would get ahead of Ginola, Carr and Judas...
I know but if you don’t ask don’t get. Anyways we paid 47.5 big ones for Johnson if he is half the price now even with his goals them something was and has gone drastically wrong. Surely levy would be asking questions. Richi we already know about and again complete incompetence to pay 60M on him when his never score more than 15 goals a season in all comps afaik regardless of his injury record. Why would they take that deal... a couple of players worth about 40m combined with 200k in salary replacing a player valued at 75m.
How am I over hyping him... just said he was our best player... doesn't mean he's elite or anything... he has potential to be elite but the only reason he's our best player is because the rest are bang average. As for Maddison... decent player but can't stay fit, doesn't influence games away from home and if he's not on the ball he's a passenger. Don't care what your stats say, if he is our most important player we really are screwed.Mate let’s stop over hyping berg just yet. Let the kid develop. MADDs is our best player and the numbers back it up. Without him we have no one who really beat a player in tight positions or create space for themselves.
If you don't ask you don't get... this is like going to my local car dealer and asking for a brand new car and in exchange I'll give them my old shitty car that I once paid a lot for...I know but if you don’t ask don’t get. He'll end up at Goons imo - exactly what they need. And probably play very well. Two clubs (Brighton and Coventry) also have sell-on clauses attached so 80m is about right imo.I'd love to see him in the PL. But yeah, an 80mil gamble and I don't see us go for that. Unless Sporting would be keen on a Richarlison part exchange kinda thing.
Yeah Goons a good shout. Chavs will obviously bid too cause they bid for everyone. I reckon Liverpool are in the race too...they'd probably offer Darwin in exchange so would only need to pay 20-30 mil on top. But hey, Gyok might dick the PL and go to Barca...Lewandowski is ancient and probably off in the summer. He'll end up at Goons imo - exactly what they need. And probably play very well. Two clubs (Brighton and Coventry) also have sell-on clauses attached so 80m is about right imo.
I shared that LWOS episode where Adam Osper breaks it all down. I mean, it's criminal how the evil bald midget has wasted 100s of millions...yet he's still in the job, gets paid the highest salary + fat bonuses whenever he feels like it. And some wonder how we're a joke club. For someone so scrupulous with team expenditure, Levy and team makes some bloody awful decisions on incomings. 20m less and you have Richy (who I like, but not for that money).
So 140m transfer budget... Get In!!!You get offered circa 140mil for Mads & Porro, you take it, then spend it along with your original transfer budget. Mainly, you spend it well ie you plug the (many) holes we have and you buy proper leaders.
Spunk that on Archie Gray's brother and the rebuild is completeThen spend £50m of that on Tel and £40m on Cardoso.
Budget left: £50m
