He reminds me a bit of Bergvall (no, not because both are blond). 187 cm Viking

And do you think he could do a "Bergvall" and get EPL ready in 1 season...?Very different type of player though. Victor is a "Marathon Runner". Impressive how unfazed he always seems to be and he just claimed that spot in no time. Already played against City and Chelsea. Also a surprise in the last national team selection
Funny enough a year or so ago there was a big call on here to act and buy more like Dortmund.
Just do either strategy better.
The thing is, we need to stop thinking we are Brighton or dortmund but that’s how levy wants to operate. We are one of the top 10 richest clubs in the world. We should act like one but Levy refuses to. He doesn’t have the ambition levels of the other 9 teams in that top ten.
On loanMost of our signings will be Ipswich, Leicester, Southampton players, just watch.
With obligation to buy if Levy wins hair of the year
Dortmunds wheels are falling off in that respect. They want to go back to the Dortmund methodPeople have been banging that drum for over a decade (conveniently glossing over the fact that all their stars soon get sold... Or even walk to a 'big dog' for free!)........
Dortmund
Brighton (and Lester before them... And Southampton before that.)
The big diff with BVB is that they have a virtually guaranteed path to the CL every season from which to entice young stars looking for a stepping stone to Madrid/Barca/City/Bayern.
Whereas the equivalent in the EPL is opting for a Brighton or a Palace/WHam (i.e. somewhat of a step lower) through fear of being locked into a top 6-3 club for your prime years.
There's a lot of similarities between us and Dortmund if we are being honest. Both teams got too comfortable as far as their position in the domestic football heirarchy goes and started treading water. Allowing other teams to catch up and do what they do better.Dortmunds wheels are falling off in that respect. They want to go back to the Dortmund method
I'd avoid signing any more i8/19 year old midfielders for a year or two as we have Bergvall and Gray who need to develop/mature a bit still, better to probably buy one 'first team ready' upgrade on one of Spurs other first team midfield players.
It would make more sense to integrate into Spurs first team the likes of Alfie Devine and/or Jamie Donley and/or George Abbott over the next year or so, all of whom have showed they can play various types of midfield role both in preseason and on loan, as all of them are at Spurs already (so no more fees) and all of them will count as List B/u21's and then Club Trained players so not taking up squad places which are in short supply.
