Fortunately, Romero is the player I trust the most to show up in a Final and have a big game
He's been a big game player for Argentina but he's often gone missing when we've had a big game. Chelsea at home last season (red card), Woolwich at home this season (manhandled by Gabriel)... I just hope the occasion doesn't take over and the red mist descends before we are three or four clear.

Gabriel was a foul. Blatant foul.

Red mist for a player who set a record for games without committing a foul?

Did he actually play in any of those games Richard? I can't remember the last time he played in the PL???? Also, I am looking at the prism of big games... where you look to your leaders and best players to step up and take the game by the scruff of the neck. When has he done that for us? A game against one of the big boys where he's bossed the game. van der Vaart is a good example of a player who thrived on the big occasion. Always seemed to save his best for Woolwich.
