Johnny cardoso looks garbage tbh

Nothing about him and in a final of all games . Were he should show at least something, lightweight, and no real standout quality

We'll take him

:levywhoa:

Cardosa..... We get a % of his fee if someone else buys him, yeh?

Just take the dosh.

(Us paying a 'reduced' rate of 25m - in leu of Lo Celso - would imply he's worth 30-40m............ He's seemingly not.)

Neither as I would like some from the former and some from the latter.

This one I like. £30m buy out clause , still very young. Richy has to be sold due to his chronic , never ending injury woes.
Delap and Simons would be two excellent purchases.

So I guess you don't rate him or you Judy hiding your feelings....

Cheeky bid for Isco? 33 but still classy and intelligent, has good goals and assists for the season. Having very successful senior players can only be a good thing to have around the squad. A Davids-esque signing

He has very good technical ability but I think we need more pace , strength, intensity and stamina. We get physically overpowered by teams like Palace for example. We need more athletes in the team.

So 9 PL teams can compete with us on price when we bid for players : no real surprise, but whilst we can afford 3 or 4 very good players this summer that's probably it

"Richest" is also a very malleable concept.

Ratcliffe claimed United were 9 months from going broke when he arrived.
The broader UK sports media have spent all season saying they are FFP fucked.

Meanwhile; more than 1/3 of the alleged value of our club is our state of the art mega-dome stadium and infrastructure.

Newcastle's owners are "richer" than anyone else in the game; yet don't even make top 20.

Different tactics (Simeone)
Different landscape (La Liga)

= different demands on a player.

He just had an audition vs Chavski tonight and didn't impress against a team we very much want to be beating more regularly.

No way are we buying lots of world class players - Bissouma is very inconsistent so we need to change him and Cardosa may be an option if we need to put majority of our money towards a couple of forwards not named Tel given Richarlison injury record/goal record and Son declining so he's a one game a week man now (and we need to play two games a season).

Its a compromise

Or we get 15m from A Madrid under the clause if he goes there and add that to the £20m we get for selling Bissouma and we see who is available for £35m

cash is required to buy players - so our stadium value is irrelevant.

owners riches is irrelevant to buying players so unless owners put massive money into Newcastle they need to operate within cash generated in the club. So they'll but 2 or 3 decent players in competition with spurs

ManU not in a good place - their squad 2 years behind ours, and Glazers take lots of money out of club. But they will still spend money, just not as much as they'd like or need to as their squad is poor. May need to buy McTominay back from Napoli (player of year there) !
