Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He played 29 league games last season...scored 5 goals and got as many assists.

So far this season he's played in 14 La Liga matches...for 3 goals and 2 assists.

Basically he's on track to match or even better last season's numbers, so no he hasn't dropped off massively.

Also, only made the team of the week once last year. He's done it 3 times already this season and there's 19 league games remaining.
Genuinely interested...

What makes your think we can lure him from Bilbao if 4 points clear at the top of Liga, Barcelona, could not?

It's fantasy world for me but open to being convinced as like him as a player.

Isn't he one of the top 5 paid players in Europe also?

Well that's a new one

HG status is important for us these days

Absolutely no idea if he's any good
At 23 he’s been nominated for U23 PL2 player of the season at 18/19 (when Leeds won and he captained them). He was in the team of the tournament at the Euro U21’s last year (which we won and he played every minute).

He has a strong pedigree.

Football Chap Football Chap Spursidol Spursidol ?

Nearly a quarter of the way through the transfer window, with a threadbare squad, and we’ve signed no one. In fact we have arguably weakened the squad selling Johnson both in numbers and morale. We should of been signing players early, show a statement of intent but instead we’ll wait until after we’ve been knocked out of the FA cup, the one piece of silverware we had any vague chance of winning, and then we’ll sign a couple of last minute ‘potentials’ or cheapo alternatives. Same old, same old with the new regime it seems.

Another directionless start to the transfer window.

At least Levy can't be blamed although I'm sure many will continue to try and do so. Maybe he is a wizard working his magic in the background.

Either way, it's incoherent and impossible to be confident that by the end of this window we would have bought players who improve our starting eleven.

Then you have to take a quantum leap that Frank can extract the maximum out of any such signing/s, which on the evidence to date is all but impossible to conceive.

No chance of getting warmed up by anything Spurs related at present.
