Yes the managers don't often get who they want, but you are silly if you think 31 year old Goretzka would be a club signing rather than Franks.
You seem to be falling into the inter net binary where two things can't be true. In isolation Rodrygo vastly improves our attack, but setting that aside this profile player is about life beyond Frank.Tell me if you were coming as a top coach to Spurs if Rodrygo and Oshimen are in the squad would you be happier with the current options...No, Conte and Jose were seduced by the talent of Harry and Son and they said so. We want to shop higher for quality of coach improving the squad does this.
Frank wasn't my pick but having seen what Ange did last year to the team I expected i, and still expect 8th. So Im about where I thought we'd be. We have a poor squad full of overrated journey men and gone from an incompetent coach to an average one. Its not a quick fix
I won't quite fall for your interpretation and how you have sought to lay a palatable foundation for a possible incoming coach, but I do admire the thinking.
I would be very surprised if our management are also in tune with you but you never know.
I'm also struggling to see a manager who deserves such a feast as one you are hoping the club provides.

I am not any kind of ITK but isn't the problem created right at the start with every head coach because we can't get the strategy right? Are we "do everything to win now"? Are we "take some lumps now to build with youth"?
With Mourinho and Conte it seemed like win now was the strategy, but they never got the tools they needed.
With Ange and it was build with youth, but panic stations when results are bad.
With Frank who knows? The new crew in charge said the priority is win now. Let's see what they do ...
