He’s a good young player but I’d be very surprised if he didn’t need 6 months at least to adapt to the PL. And that’s at a mildly functional team. For us, he’d probably need 6 years.
He played 29 league games last season...scored 5 goals and got as many assists.
So far this season he's played in 14 La Liga matches...for 3 goals and 2 assists.
Basically he's on track to match or even better last season's numbers, so no he hasn't dropped off massively.
Also, only made the team of the week once last year. He's done it 3 times already this season and there's 19 league games remaining.
Still not at the level we need, he's another project/gamble, though more advanced than Tel & Odobert.
But he's a 50mil signing and in ENIC's world that's enough. Who cares if he doesn't move the needle, eh.
What we need is a superstar winger, like one who starts for Spain and would be shining for Barcelona if they had the money (which we do).
Reminds me of a younger Lamela… not overly convinced he’ll flourish in the EPL. He looks a decent player but not a class or two above our current players

He’s a nice guy to have as a rotation player but he’s not going to be a key player for a top PL team.
