Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'd certainly be a lot more excited if our owners fucked off, or at least we got a competent director of football instead to replace our dork duo.

I genuinely think we need to rip it up and start again.

Get rid of Lange, Paratici and Frank. Get rid of Porro, Romero, Vic, Bentancur, Richie, terminate the loan players.

I think a huge part of our problem are the senior players in our squad are shit, think they are way better than they are, hugely inconsistent, and have a shit mentality.

The likes of Bergvall and Gray can be squad players and develop, but we need to go out and sign a lot of players.

We need to do what the scum did when they got rid of Lacazette, Aubameyang etc

Unless we bring in a long term successor, there's hardly any point in signing players.
How many loans can we make? Is it just RKM we currently have?

RKM our only loan, I believe. Tel and Danso now permanent, arent they?

I think the club is getting to a point where it doesnt matter if theres a point to it or not, they need to do something - its optics

If they stay with Frank (hard to imagine they can), even if the idea is for a change in the summer - they HAVE to do something this window with the squad.

They made promises of investment, have to appear to be supporting the manager. Impossible they dont.

And of course, if they didnt, Frank is publically hung out to dry and the fans will riot for the complete reneging of the promises made.

Becoming more likely, imo, is Frank is going so badly, fan relations going so badly - theyll change manager. Frank the patsy for the clubs ills (possibly Levy too) and THIS will be the new beginning (sly wink wink)

But anyway, I think with the current temperature - not doing anything is simply not an option

Yeah i get Richy is no one's favorite player but I think people need to take a look around the league, hell even the rest of the world. There are no Harry Kane #9s anyone. He's one of one. Maybe Isak is the closest thing.

What you mostly get now is a bunch of athletic freaks who are glorified tap in merchants. Won't be shedding any tears for selling Richy, but don't be surprised when his replacement fits a similar mold.
I’d rather have an athletic freak who’s a glorified tap in merchant than a sloth who’s a glorified tap in merchant

Isn’t Palhinha a loan?

By the end of this month, or are we talking sooner?!

I think we need some change, but it won't be radical.

A situation like ours at the moment can change very quickly with 2 or 3 of the right (not necessarily expensive) signings, and a necessary change of manager.

The other changes you allude to will take more time, but essential to all this is someone with a vision of that future, and who can ensure it happens.

In my experience that material change only comes from someone who really cares, amd isn't in it just for themselves, and who accepts the need to create something that is different.

It certainly is not just about spending stupid amounts (see United), as that group on here believe, or by simply bringing back Pochettino, a move more likely to fail than to succeed.

Look for Karetsas. I think that he is at least as good as Madders and only 18 yo.
(Although I'm afraid that we are players' graveyard and I like the kid).
I’ve harped on about him for a while. He’s a superstar. Starts on the right but just drifts inside on to his left which is a wand. He has this cocky attitude that he backs up in how he plays. He’ll go to a more ambitious club though. Him or Argentinian lad Soule from Roma are two players we should be looking at.

From what I read half our players want out, Richarlison and Tel to name but 2
Episode 2 Whatever GIF

Using his leverage to get more minutes, hopefully.

He's looked worth the minutes.

Frank has done an awful job with Tel, absolutely awful. Even the insult of leaving out of CL for the hope that solanke might be fit one day

Every time I see him play he looks like he has very good talents his young body just can't yet handle at this level. But it will come with proper coaching and experience

Just needs to wait out Frank who's also trying to kill off bergvall by either not playing him and playing an absolute rodri donkey instead, or playing him as basically a striker or winger.

Lucky now he's forced to play Tel so he can develop

How many players can that filthy club want ir buy?

Surely the player goes elsewhere for his own sake.
