Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Hoping leadership is something he can really bring to our young squad.

Don't think we have many players who really try to take control of matches.

Think we've seen glimpses from Tel and Xavi in previous matches, but it's something we need more of in this squad.

Too many players go hiding when things get tough.

Go hiding or crumble under the pressure.

I think signing Gallagher should help some of our younger players.

We are pretty suited to a back five. Would cover up Porro and Udogie's defensive weaknesses and leg them do what they do best (run and cross). It would also cover up our lack of a passer in midfield by allowing our CBs, who unfortunately are our best passers outside of Xavi, to play more progressive passes.

Not sure Amorim would work here, but if he didn't, I don't think it would be due to his system.
Yep. We have the best young centre back in world football in Vuskovic (How we managed that, I still have no idea, but kudos to whoever spotted him) and I don’t think he’s gonna be too happy picking splinters out his arse next season, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go to a back 3.

I’d worry about Amorim’s pigheadedness, but I don’t think he was ever the right man for Man United. He probably wouldn’t work out any better with us, as us and United seem to be the cursed clubs of the top 4. But I do think the players we have are very well suited to the way he plays in almost every position, even now with Gallagher, him and Palhinha are the exact sort of pairing he ideally wants, a destroyer and an all action runner.

It’s just too big a gamble, as we can’t afford another big fuck up that sets us back years.

Ultimately I still want Poch back over anything.

And Kudus being out injured for 3 months.

I can see a move to a 3-5-2 coming ...

2 from Muani, Solanke, Tel as CFs.
CM packed with combative #8s (3 from Gallagher, Sarr, Bergvall, Palhinha, and Gray)
Udogie / Souza and Porro / Spence providing the width on each flank.
Simons / Odbert used for creativity at #10 or one of the flanks when needed.

Really don't know why he hasn't gone back to the 3-5-2.

We showed vs PSG it doesn't have to be a passive formation. Our corners are a real weapon for us and getting another CB in there could only help.

Should allow Romero's passing and Mickey's carrying to be more utilized.

Frank's stubbornness is a real issue.

He definitely has these qualities, hopefully they’re not coached out of him or destroyed by our sometimes toxic atmosphere…

I really do think we need to always get behind the team and not boo or single out players regardless.

Only had three healthy CBs for most of the year. Can't play a back three with a limited CB room. It's a possibility now that Dragusin and Davies are back, unless we do something dumb and sell Dragusin for peanuts. I'd like to see it because a back five suits our fullbacks and midfielders very well.

Uncanny how much he looks like your avi lol
My cousin just texted me "I used to think you looked like Bergvall's ugly sis with shitty bleached blonde hair, but actually you look like Gallagher after he's spent 100 nights in a skip with a crackhead sitting on his face. Go get a man's haircut and wash your face, you mug (you, not our shiny new toy). Conor is a Yid! COYS!"

Nothing like family love.

I hate any Spurs fan that dismisses a Spurs player before evidence has been provided of their ability or service WITH Spurs.

Same reason I gave matey a barracking for slagging off our academy players the other day, I say "fuck off" to those dismissing Gallagher and Souza.

At least give them every opportunity to succeed by supporting them and instilling confidence in them by vocally backing them.

And remember, Chelsea's captain is a yiddo!

Johnson, Veliz and Paratici out. Its a start but more please.

This speaks volumes for the hiring disaster on and off the field by Levy. I mean who else would hire a convicted felon to handle financial football deals who was found guilty of inflating transfer fees?

I mean for fucks sake think about that for a minute?

I don't think Vinai, Charrington or Carlos will lose any sleep over this but it will now be interesting and tell us so much more on what will now happen to Lange?
