Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm seeing £20m for Guehi... That can't be right? It's a relative pittance that even WE could have stretched to...
So I can only assume they're offering him £Quintillion- Squillion a week wages?

...well as long as they're bigger than, and own Woolwich this season, then anything else - like the 115 charges - can wait!
?......mate, he's a free agent in the summer, fee was never gonna be massive....🤷‍♂️

With Ndiaye Everton have such a thread bare squad and are desperate to get players in I just can't see why they would sell him in this window. Yea they'll have money but they'll be selling their best player and trying to get players in. We all know Jan is not the best time to be buying and selling clubs will know they have cash so the money they would get for selling him won't go as far as it would in summer and plus they'd have more options available in summer.
Unless there's a semenyo type release clause I just can't see why they would do it
Give them Richarlison and £40m so they’ve got the striker they crave (albeit currently injured)

Happy Birthday Yes GIF
I wonder about his work permit….
International,appearances and all that.

it's points based, and relaxed a bit more for under 21's

I guess the point he's making is that we're no where near as competitive as we could and should be.
Two clubs with equal revenue should never be as far apart on the pitch as we are. Especially two bitter, local rivals.
There really is no excuse for it.
Their owners are much wealthier than ours - Kroenke's fortune is basically a trust fund gifted to him by his Walmart heiress wife via land transactions for Walmart developments in North America. He's supported by his wife and the club is run by his son.

They're able to absorb financial losses much more than our investment firm owners, for whom the club is 30-40% of their net worth.

Until we shake ENIC, which I doubt happens any time soon, things are just more difficult as the financial structure/priorities are so different.

Operations wise, we're a lot more similar to United, but with ~70% of the revenue.
