I bet they paid him a signing bonus of more than 20M and why not - 40M is still a stealProbably a large wage, but the lure of trophies, regular CL etc will also play a big part.
That's more than we've done this season then.....
Can't disagree more I'm sorry,Really think Wharton would be another really expensive mistake. Same with N’Diaye. Theyre moments players. Whartons a stroller people get seduced by one or two eye catching passes. He’s not fancied for England and I’d bet no big teams will seriously go in for him. Big flaws in his all round game.
N’Diaye one or two bits of nice skill but no where near involved or effective enough for the prices being talked about.
I think the fees are ridiculous but we must pay them to improve. These two guys instantly improve us. Wharton,Gallagher and Xavi is a brilliant midfield with a bit of everything. Have Bergvall,Gray and Paulinha as back ups and start acting like a big club.Really think Wharton would be another really expensive mistake. Same with N’Diaye. Theyre moments players. You need much more than just being a passer. That’s all he is really and being a left footer sort of makes it look better. He’s terrible off the ball and that’s in a palace side that is deep and compact. On our big pitch he’d be getting run past all day. You can’t dismiss that side of his game. Can't disagree more I'm sorry,
he's a wonderful wonderful player. every time I've seen him play he's the best player on the pitch and elevates those around him.
Special talent.
Every pass is forward, sweet left foot

I'm sure being proud owners of a Brennan Johnson thanks to us will endear us to them no end...I thought when we sold them Johnson that Wharton was probably discussed.
Two separate deals but very much connected in discussions.

Yeah palace are getting gutted it feels like, need to move fast if we really want him.Feels like it's now or never with one. Just pay them what they want and be done with it. He'd be a mainstay for 10+ years like.
So yet another step in the process: “substantial enquiry”.What is a TW without being linked to Jonathan David
