If we sign Sterling I’m finished. I don’t think we will though because even we are not stupid enough to sign a player who’s done and hasn’t played for a year and would be on crazy wages !!!

We also have Gallagher as a battling 10, something I think Frank would probably prefer - as well as Frank having played Bergvall there a fair bit tooTrue but we also have to consider we have Maddison and Kulusevski that can play in the number 10 position as well and whilst we have neither at the moment, we could have 4x10s once they're back.
£40-£50m is a lot for a square peg in a round hole long term.
Don't get me wrong I'd definitely rather that than nobody in the position we find ourselves in but think Diaby loan makes more sense for overall squad situation long term.
Let's see what happens
This mentality is grim. We're not West Ham or Bournemouth. So many Spurs fans are resigned to thinking that this is our level because of decades of neglect from ENIC.
Iain?
Well he’s scored 8 PL goals. Tel has the highest of our available forward players with 3. Muani has 0. I know who I’d rather have to compete with Solanke for the rest of this season.
How about Joseph his style is revolutionary?
I think he could explode under Frank's guidance
Correct. This pauper mentality is Stockholm syndrome from years of being abused by ENIC. A club of our size, sitting where we are in the league, but still in a strong position going into the latter stages of the Chanpions League should be going hell for leather trying to get at least one big signing in.This mentality is grim. We're one of the richest clubs, with one of the best stadiums and training facilities in world football, in the best league and in one of the most desirable cities in the world. There is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be able to attract the best players.
The only thing that is stopping us is this "new" ENIC. But if they started offering more players Xavi Simons-level salaries and paying £70m on quality players instead of £35m on Conor Gallaghers then we'd be competing for trophies and finding it easy to get that calibre of player in.
Should go to play in Germany or the MLS should never have gone on loan to Woolwich last season absolutely decimated the stock that was left in him last season. There are two issues with Sterling. One, he no longer has the agility he once had - his major asset. Two, he is a big victim of the game becoming dominated by set pieces - a big weakness.
as bleak as this sounds it really is the reality we find ourselves in at the moment.I want us to stay up. I don't honestly care what that translates to in relation to who we sign.
Posters need to get to grip with that start fact before they worry about who comes in.
The squad as it is could go down.
If we get the necessary points we get the necessary points. The time for the future comes once survival has been guaranteed.
Yup. Lookman is a stop gap. I'd rather expose odobert and Tel who are certainties to be better players than lookman in 2 years time. Odobert in the last few games already looks like he could be a similar level.John Duran and Lookman. Telling me they wouldnt get into our team?
Probably more like one of your periodic absences Shady.I wonder if people actually mean this when they say it, the amount of I'm done's and final straws I keep hearing about, I mean what does it actually mean anyway, are you done watching Spurs? Are you done for the day? Are you done in this thread? The mind boggles...![]()
