Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

They didn't.

They essentially said business as usual.

The Lewis family have not spoken publicly but a source close to them said on Thursday: "This is initial additional funding. As the club's management decides what's needed to deliver success, more money will be available. The Lewis family is committed to backing the club to be successful."

Hollow words it seems! Talk is cheap!

Essentially they increased their shareholding.... Throughout that (long) article however; it's littered with suggestion that it won't affect much on the trf end of things, but ultimately the vast majority of the article is 3rd party speculation.

There’s several other articles repeating their ambition but they’re mainly behind paywalls.

Could be complete bollocks but Ali Gold usually gets the unofficial strategic leaks.

Because you have to be realistic.

If we want to sign the new first eleven signings we desperately need we have to sacrifice players otherwise our squad would be too big.

I'm saying signing Palhinha and bringing in a forward thinking CM is a must imo. So where would that leave us at CM?

Bergvall
Sarr
Gallagher
Palhinha
Kulusevksi
Maddison
Xavi
Gray

vying for 3 positions?

Also i agree Tel is improving but if we bring in another wide player AND another striker he's not going to get opportunities to improve. Odobert as a Kudus understudy on the right is fine which means we probably need to bring in two left sided options tbh.
They are not playing in the same MF position. Only Palhinha is a direct competitor for the DM spot, which is the position Grey is meant for/to make his own.
As for Tel, well, I'd give him to the end of the season to prove himself.

There are 2 ArAujos at Barca:
Julián Araujo.
Ronald Araújo.
I guess you mean Ronaldo though...

He's an injury record that will keep the medics at Spurs busy though

Didn't he just come back from needing time out due to mental health issues? Spurs are the last place he should come to currently

Can't prove yourself if you don't get a good run... not saying he should be given 90 mins ever week but I don't think anyone can say what Tel is or isn't on the limited game time he's had.

That’s a club with real ambition. We just come out every so often and tell everyone how ambitious we are and which players we tried our best to sign.

Downie: No approach from Woolwich for Tonali

Latest from Sky Sports News' Keith Downie:

Newcastle have had no approach from Woolwich for Sandro Tonali, despite a report by Sky Germany this morning.

Newcastle have had no contact, don't expect any, and would not welcome any - for a player who is contracted until summer 2029.

Newcastle also currently have a midfield injury issue, with Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton and Lewis Miley all having missed the game at Liverpool.

On Saturday they rejected an approach from Fulham for fellow midfielder Joe Willock.

Or maybe, just maybe, there's bullshit everwhere today

He was an ambitious signing for Newcastle in the first place. Signing a player that can immediately elevate the level of the team who was seemingly above the "stature" of the club at the time.

When was the last time spurs did that?
