Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The difference is time and time again we FAIL to sign those players. They don't.
Really? How many deadline day specials have they made?

We’re not talking about rumours half way through a window. We’re talking about rumours appearing for the first time on deadline day (eg Tonali to Woolwich).

There are people noshing off Woolwich. A lot of people wouldnt like that if it were deserved - but when it’s a double standard AGAINST us and FIR Woolwich then who could support that?

Saka is fantastic. Bias should never blind, however understandable. And it's painful to say it but.....

I don't think he has been as good however this season, and maybe the injuries have taken a slight shine off his quality.

Walks into every single side in Europe, possibly with the exception of Real and Barcelona.
Hobbles in you mean...

Anyway, piss off, I'd rather have Werner back on loan.

I don't care where they are in the League, I don't care if they win it, I don't care if they win the quadruple, I don't care if they put out a documentary on their successful season and it does a clean sweep of the Oscars, I don't care if they end all war and win a fecking Nobel Peace Prize.

They're boring and they're shit.

Arteta is a weirdo, all of their £50m back up centre backs that they populate their fullback positions with and their army of dms that they clog up the midfield with are all shit, their Social Media obsessed squad is all shit, Bukayo Saka is an overrated, stat padding, penalty merchant little bitch faced twat.

People can piss off hyping them up, they're a super powered Stoke City and despite the fact they'll probably bottle it anyway, if they do win the league then it's only because 19 other sides didn't give a shit this season.
Proper Spurs

Well, let's face it - this window has been possibly one of the biggest letdowns in recent history.
Specially when we couple it up with the clubs comments about ambition and whatnot.

Yes - I do get the part that our injury situation is having a BIG impact on literally everything.
But at the same time - NO - it does not really mean we could not sign or loan in anyone.

We are in start of February. Season ends in end of May.
Four months. If we have injured players that do not return for more than 2 months, we can just sign or loan in the player and THEN MAKE NEXT DECISION IN SUMMER. Meaning - bring in another fullback or defender. Use them during this season. Get everyone back for preseason, play few games and then just sell the ones that have impressed the least. It is really that simple and everything else are some pathetic excuses.

We are one of the richest club in the world for fuck sake. But our squad planning and player trading have been -and I am not overstating it - fully amateur - for years. And that seemed to have convinced some people here that this is how it should be and always will be. But no! It should not. We should do MUCH better.

I mean - so far in this window, we have SIGNIFICANTLY weakened our forward line (!) . We sold Johnson (which in isolation was a good decision, everything considered), then we lost Kudus for long term injury and Richie after that. How did we respond to that? BY LOANING OUT DANE SCARLETT ?!?! What the fuck is this shit really?!?

Literally - when we consider players in-and-out together with injuries -

OUT: Johnson, Scarlett
Injured: Kudus, Richie

In: NO FUCKING ONE
Returned from injury: Solanke.

We are MINUS 3 PLAYERS on that front.
Please tell me how can that ever be acceptable.
Is this the first January transfer window you’ve ever experienced?

It’s crazy to me that you would feel letdown if you had experienced a few of these before.

It does feel a million miles away and maybe we'll never get a fully fit team. But watching the incredible form of Simons and Solanke has got me thinking that we do have a very good team if we actually had everyone fit. We do have some top players, we just don't ever get to see them all play together. The only glaring weaknesses are goalkeeper and a top centre mid.

Vicario
Spence Romero VDV Udogie
Gallagher Palhinha Maddison
Kudus Solanke Simons

Bench: kinsky Porro Danso Gray Bergval Kulusevski Richarlison Odobert

If we could sign a top goalkeeper and a top defensive mid then we'd have a real top team on paper

Guess the problem is our coach is a total coward who won't allow the team to play on the front foot for 90 mins. And the other glaring problem is that we seem to end up with 10+ injuries for majority of the season

I'm really curious what the whole point of that was actually, must only have been optics?

Why would you trust any business in the hands of the guy already checked out and working his notice period? Hardly going to be busting a gut was he?

100% optics

They only just gave him the job, and his first action is to jack it in :frankfacepalm:

Theres no way he has had any part of this window.

And, really, nor should he if his loyalties amd focus are elsewhere

That being said, this window should have been organised already before it even began, but thats another story...

Pretty poor window again . Ambitious my arse

According to Frank, the players we have out and unavailable, apparently can't be replaced by any other players because incoming players are not of the required quality.

We are 14th not 4th in the table.

PL sides are doing transfer business today, and from my point of view Lange is stealing a fucking living.

This board of directors deserve relegation to the Championship.

We don't need a CB. There's no point to recall Vuskovic when he's killing it at HSV just so he can sit behind Romero, VdV, and Danso.

If we recall anyone, it should be Moore because we desperately need attacking help.
Not a bad shout RE Moore but for his development shouldn't we keep him on loan? I'm not sure he is a certainty to start ahead of Tel/RKM on that side
