Micky walks into most teams and we need him here. Cuti has his moments where he lets himself down so I can only defend him to a certain extent. Those 2,Xavi and Paulinha are the only ones I’d keep because they actually give a fuck.

Neither Van De Ven or Romero are great players however. Good, yes. Great, no.
You don't want to lose such players but they are as much hindrance than help on occasion.
A stronger and better manager would probably have dealt with both or not been subjected to their nonsense, due to them respecting whoever more.

That's without the opposition having to create a chance.
In recent weeks opposing players have been played onside by one defender who stays deep, multiple opposing players are left unmarked, in the 18 yard box, in open play and set piece situations, crosses are rarely blocked, through balls are not intercepted, runs are not tracked, possession is given away under no pressure, defensive headers, especially where Porro and Romero should be, are rarely won, team mates in possession, and under pressure, are left isolated.
Spurs current defenders are not very good at defending.
They play in front of a goalkeeper who is also incapable of catching balls in the air, preferring to punch or not come for crosses at all, who cannot reliably control, pass, throw or clear a ball without often playing defenders into trouble or slicing the ball to opposing players.
We are shit at the back and the rose tinted glasses regarding these defenders needs to come off.
