However, it annoys me how much these pundits go on about it being a brilliant achievement that's taken 44 years or whatever, as if they've slowly built up to it over that time. Meanwhile everyone with the ability to think for themselves knows that they'd be looking at 45 and 46 if it wasn't for an unprecedented amount of investment in the playing squad.
Yes, those players have 'achieved' a lot by winning the league. Well done to them. But Man City the club? Really?
Man City are premier league champions by name only in my mind. I don't recognise their win, and therefore congratulate Man United on finishing top of the league, with their worst squad in a long time, even if they don't have a shiny cup to show for it now.
