At some point, we need to appoint someone to undertake a mass clean out of the squad and completely rebuild. Other than Bergvall, Gray, Xavi, VdV, Kudus, and maybe Tel, everyone needs to go. That isn't going to be accomplished in one or two transfer windows.

Yet it'll never happen if we keep sacking managers because they don't immediately have us challenging for Europe. While we keep appointing a new manager every year, the deadwood stays, and the squad becomes even more frankenstein with nothing but club purchases. That will eventually lead us to relegation with how competitive the league has become.

Say Frank is sacked tomorrow and we appoint a """longterm""" replacement like Xavi or Terzic. Maybe they get us playing better, maybe they don't. But if they dont - which is highly likely given the terrible state of the squad - the same people calling for Frank to be sacked will be calling for Xavi/Terzic to be sacked in October. Then the cycle just repeats itself.
No it won’t because we won’t be playing defensive football at home against piss poor teams with those guys in charge. The squad is very capable of producing much much better we are not because we have a risk free manager.

This is all the same sort of stuff that was being said about Levy never being removed.

Frank is already sacked.

The corpse of Frank is now standing in the technical area for every game.

The players yesterday abandoned Frank's instructions in an attempt to salvage a game they clearly wanted to win but Frank was too scared to lose.

The only reason Frank is still in the technical area is because of how much it is going to cost ENIC to pay for Levy's final act of stupidity.

Russian roulette with West Ham and Burnley is not a game ENIC can afford to play with the February fixtures on the horizon.

Spurs need 6 points from these games to prevent this season getting any worse for them.

Frank will not get 6 points from these games.

We know it and ENIC know it.

ENIC are also not selling tickets for the meaningless games between now and the end of this season with Frank at the wheel.
Maybe but wtaf has that got to do with anything I posted.

If Frank is still in charge tomorrow then I’m done going. Not for me. It’s a waste of two days for me.
Fair enough mate - I think the feeling is 'The worst a fan base can be is not angry, but apathetic'

There is no quick fix to this. It's going to be really ugly for a couple of years, minimum.

Unfortunately, with the wet lettuces in charge, i cant see a Pheonix from the ashes story at the end of the tunnel, it is very much another train.

Why do you continue with the Ange obsession? I am genuinely curious. I think you really like Frank, you want him to do well but he's let you down badly and you are scrambling to find small crumbs of comfort like "well at least Frank is better than Ange". Did Ange hurt you or a close family member? I've never known such an obsession...

Are you genuinely mental? You and phomesy are constantly quoting posts that have nothing to do with the man and accusing me of bringing him up.

It will hopefully happen tomorrow. A kind of mutual agreement thing.
After the second half display and results recently they'll be convincing themselves they won't need to change. Unless we get less than 4 points in next 2 league games he'll be here in Feb. I can't see how he can possibly last until March given the fixtures in Feb but I've made peace with fact he's here until then

I will always live in hope though but I’m not arranging my life around Tottenham and missing out on things anymore till he’s gone. Apathetic is exactly how I feel. To be fair last night in the second half I felt that wee bit of excitement creep back in then he made the subs and it was back to numbness.
Hate it so much just now.

You said;

I don't think he will be sacked

I said;

Frank is already sacked.

Hope that clears everything up for you.

I'm the same mate. I haven't pencilled in watching Spurs for a while now, in fact i feel better just getting the scores and a vague idea of how we played from my other Spurs mates.

from 2014-2020 I didn't miss a game, not one game.

It's the hope that kills you.

Those first half performances were there under the last manager, and luckily there are extended highlights on you tube if anyone fancies checking it out.

Your words...

So in your world we have to all pretend the club was formed at the start of the season.

Let me quote your colleague
on the rare occasions you stop obsessing over our former manager and policing people's opinions of him

Why don't you pop over to his thread and stop spamming all the others

Yeah i think its time, cant see any positives at the minute.

Richarlison has been the one beneficiary of Frank ball with scrappy balls dropping in the box and he's out now so not sure how we're gonna score goals.

I think the non engagement we keep seeing is due to the team dropping in low block but the timing and distances is wrong and lacking aggression...these things are where the manager earns his money.

My only issue is we would be giving a new manager a depleted squad.

Same here... I'm not sure what the threshold is anymore... I did think Forest/Bin Dippers was the point of no return then he scrimps 3 points at Palace... then I thought maybe Sunderland/Bournemouth but he just seems immune to the sack. I'm so desperate to get our club back I'd probably stomach relegation if it led to ENIC fucking off and getting a smaller return. Crazy how I've reached a point that I'd contemplate serious harm being done to the club.
