Yea I think all this is a little overrated. Ozil was prodigious under Mourinho at RM. Our issues under Conte were more defensive than anything. You can be attacking and not necessarily possession based. Brentford were 5th in goals scored last season. The main thing is we just need to not be so easy to play against. You can’t just give away cheap, easy chances like we did under Ange and expect to get away with it for long. There’s no complaining about tactics when the results are truly there.

A lot of brand new football fans, mainly the ones from America, think their club invented everything because they’ve never watched anyone else. It’s like when you’re a kid and you hear other clubs singing similar songs to ours and think they must’ve stolen it from us.

Thats a pretty crazy assumption considering at Brentford he gave the 10 (Damsgaard most of the time) the keys to the attack. If anything I'd say Maddison will have a better time under Frank than Ange as he will have more responsibility and a cohesive unit around him, rather than general chaos.
