That Ange’s brand of football wasn’t directly responsible for twanged hamstrings and running our players into the ground.

The intensity of his football and the correlation to injuries is well known and just a Google search away.

Everyone last night was screaming "less intensity"

"Slow down buddy you'll pull a hammy"

"Careful or you'll be run into the ground!"

And lots of other stuff like that :cautious: :D

If we are getting similar injuries now and we have players on the treatment table tells you that this statement is complete folly and pure speculation.

You don't need to Google search to tell you that the issue points to something more deeper than just purely blaming one managers training methods, it's kinda embarrassing people keep going on about it and won't let it go.

The club have literally changed the medical staff twice over the past 3 years and they are in the process of investigating why our players are picking up so many injuries.

Tbh I don't think either Ange or Frank's training methods or style of play is unsustainable or at least they shouldn't be. I just think that players these days play way too many matches and their bodies can't hack the packed schedule

On the face of it we've picked up the likes of Maddison, Solanke, Rich, VDV, Udogie, Dragusin, who were all playing 1 game a week for the clubs we've bought them from and they've come to us playing in Europe in the most physical, intense league in the world...most of the players I've listed there were injury free before they came to us and they all play for their NT's as well.

What do you think it is?

I have a theory but i'd like to hear yours.

I’ve a friend who’s a sports therapist working with professional rugby and football teams and we’ve discussed it at length. Do some research on football and sports injuries and you’ll see it’s not just folly and pure speculation.

Work rate, intensity, minutes played and number of sprints etc, are all cumulative on the body and what was incurred last season doesn’t stop the minute Ange walks out the door.

Is there not one other issue that sets Spurs apart from every other Premier League club in terms of what may have the potential to cause a disproportionate amount of injuries?

Hard to imagine that would be the case, we're not the only club with an extensive injury list either.

Injuries have picked up over the past few years at the top level and especially in the Prem and that's coincidence with the fixture schedule getting more and more busier throughout the season.

You missed the point but nvm...

Spurs have had lots of injuries since this pitch was installed.

A unique pitch.

The world's first.

Who wanted this installed and why?

I stopped going after poch got sacked. Done my shift home and away. Wont go back until we are consistently back to poch levels. Challenging for titles and top 4 a gimme. Not going back to the dark ages of 90s again.

Thing is for health reasons I can’t go nowadays and would give anything to stand in the Shelf again in the 90s so be careful what you wish for mate!

Let's be honest. Can we see Frank winning a trophy for us? For me personally I cant see it. Hope I'm wrong though.
If we have a relatively healthy squad I can see us winning a minor cup like FA Cup or EL with Frank. I'm not sure he's the kind of coach that can win CL against the other top talent though. I'm not sure he'll ever be equipped with a properly strong squad to find out, either.
